A condo in Lagos for a week gave us time to day-trip to Faro to the east and Saleema and Cape St Vincent to the west with an incredible dinner north on the high cliffs of Aljezur, home of the 100 waves where expert surfers go.

The problem with Algarve transportation is that in summer you have everything and lots of people everywhere and in the rest of the year the services are drastically reduced but much more interesting and a much better cost!

I don't have a packing list video for Portugal, but if you haven't watched this before-you-go video, I'd recommend: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2fLiGCPq96Eq6s The weather in Portugal is warm and nice, generally speaking. As long as you bring comfortable shoes (for the hills in Lisbon and for hiking in Algarve) and a wind breaker for the boat tour, you will be all set.

Hi! I believe most not all boats will go into the Bengali caves, during warm months. We were there in February, so they didn't stop at the caves. Hope this helped!

I personally enjoyed seeing Lisbon first and then spending a couple days in Algarve - Being in a relaxing resort town after exploring Lisbon gave me a chance to take it slow and reflect on the trip. Renting a car in the city was easy. I bet it’s easy to do so at the airport. I wouldn’t recommend having a car in Lisbon though!

I think the boat is safe for people in 50/60 years old, except it can get really windy and a bit cold especially if you're going in October. So make sure to prepare for that. Also, there are bigger boats that are more suitable for relaxed ride - you can find these in Algarve

We rented a car in Lisbon, because we didn't want to make a commitment as to where to pick up the car and so on before we arrive.
