Thank you so much for this video it helped me so much to plan my trip. But could you please give me more details about the sunrise kayak tour to see the benagil cave ? Because it’s something that I really want to do with my family during our trip.

You’re welcome! Honestly once you arrive every single tour company has signs advertising the sunrise kayak tour so you can book it when you arrive very easily :) no need to book in advance!

You are the best. Excellent vdo. qq - Are there things to do past day-3, if I don't wanna travel to Carvoiero ?
@SheRunTheWorld3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Honestly the main things are the coastal walk, boat tours, and hanging at the beach! So you could easily pick a different boat tour to do or a different beach to hang out at for the day if the weather is good :)

Is the boardwalk easy to find? Any specific directions that needs to be followed?
@SheRunTheWorld6 ай бұрын
It’s pretty easy! In Lagos it’s right next to every major beach so you’ll see people walking on it In carveiro head up the hill from the main carveiro beach (again you’ll see people walking up) and start from there!

Maybe I missed it but how did you travel? I know you said you did not rent a car but did you mostly take rideshare or public transportation?
@SheRunTheWorld5 ай бұрын
We only took 3 Uber rides: from the airport to Lagos, Lagos to Carvoeiro, and Carvoeiro back to the airport. Once you’re in each city you just walk, you don’t even need public transport- everything is so close! So it’s really doable without a car & much cheaper with less stress :)

There’s also a train from downtown Faro (the city where the airport is) to both Lagos and Carvoeiro so you can opt for that option to save money too!!

What hotel did you stay in? Was the hotel ok? (Ie decent quality)..
@SheRunTheWorld6 ай бұрын
In Lagos I stayed in WOT Lagos which I thought was great quality for the price and in Carveiro I stayed in the Pestana Palm which I have a video tour of on my channel!!

@@SheRunTheWorld Thinking of flying into Faro and staying at WOT. Would you recommend it? 4 nights. I just checked out Pestana Palm - think that looks terrible.

The pronunciation of Carvoeiro places much more emphasis on the 'o' than you have made and is equally stressed along with the other parts of the word. Think of it as carve-oh-eye-roo. The 'r' is slightly rolled on both the first and last syllables. A single 'o' on the end of a word in European Portuguese sounds like a double 'o' in English. I mention this because had I not realised that you were trying to say Carvoeiro (since I saw it on the map that you presented), as a Portuguese speaker I honestly wouldn't have understood what place you were talking about. 🙂 Likewise, 'Marinha" isn't pronounced "marine-ha". It's pronounced like "marine-ya" in English. Likewise Vale de Centeanes isn't pronounced as val-ay-day-cent-ay-ann-es. It's pronounced as valuh-duh-cent-ay-an-esh. The 'de' in Portuguese sounds like 'duh' (not 'day) and words ending in a single 's' sound as if they end in a soft 'sh' in English. Glad to see that you're having a good time in the UK and Europe. 😉
