Hi, Nick. Fantastic. I never used to like Vilamoura as I thought it was a little 'artificial' but over the years I've come to appreciate it for what it is and the fact that there's no more development to be done (notwithstanding the cranes at the beginning - it ain't Portugal without a crane or two). I remember back in '82 when I was first there, the initial start of your walk was a kind of shanty town for the local gypsies. It took years for the authorities to build the walkway between Quarteira/Vilamoura. Also, February is a good time to go if you're wanting some calm.

While watching your walking tour, I kept glancing out my window at the blowing snow and wishing I were where you are. What a gorgeous day for a walking tour along part of Vilamoura's gorgeous waterfront. Thanks Nick! Enjoy your 3 week break.

Another nice stroll. It wasn’t too dead. But, it shows how crazy things could get during the summer.

Just want to say these walking tours you are videoing are an invaluable resource for a family which include a wheelchair user. So often info on access is limited or inaccurate. I know now that both Loule and Vilamoura are achievable for families like us. Hope you can add some more locations. Thank you.

Been going to Vilamoura 3 to 4 times a year for at least 10 years. My favourite place ever !!.. But I definitely prefer out of season, summer months are horrendous. Lovely tour, thank you.

Thank you Nick, again, for this video. I agree-I’ve heard a lot about the craziness during summer months but would be interesting to actually see it-as your time permits. 😁 Even those that live in paradise need a vacation. Enjoy your time away. 👍🏻

greetings from Spain and continue making your great videos that teach us so much, congratulations. Just two notes, I could activate so that the translator can translate the videos into several languages, including Spanish, and I could make a video of doctors and hospitals, as the system sees it and I am not referring to public health but to private hospitals, they offer emergency care quality and have specialized equipment, they offer guarantees of good care for the elderly. Thanks a lot

Hello Nick, when you return from your vacation, would you be kind enough to tell us the air and the ocean temperature in Vilamoura during your video tour ? Thank you. Tom H.
@AlgarveAddicts2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tom, it was 16C/60F and the sea temp was about the same actually 16C.

Another useful and informative video, thanks. I noticed that many of the storefront signs were in English. Are the locals resentful of that?
@AlgarveAddicts2 жыл бұрын
Hi William, no, they are the one who put up those signs. It's good business for them.

Friend I recommend you take off the word addict . In USA 🇺🇸 this word refer to people who are addicts in drugs. Success!
@Nubianette2 жыл бұрын
This American can understand the word based on its definition related to the video content. One of the definitions that would relate to drugs, doesn’t fit here.
