For question 10, 35:38, how did you know to change the square root of 2 into 2^1/2? I know it’s an easier way, but how did you know to change it into that?

1:18:16 i dont understand why -7 isnt extraneous? i get an error in my calculator for that one.

If you plug it back into the original equation, before the cancellations, x = -7 would lead to division by 0 which is not possible.

-7 isn’t an extraneous solution because it isn’t a solution at all. I made the same mistake too 😅

You could try resetting the calculator, press 2nd, +, 7, 1, 2... Otherwise, maybe you used a subtraction sign for the negative? That is a common mistake.

hello! I am a little confused on question 23. If you calculate the answer out, you get a negative number (1-1.0015 in the denominatior). Why would this be if all she does is add to her account?

Sorry one more thing- We know that a geometric sequence with 0.15% would have a rate of 1.0015. What about for exponential growth (P=A(r+1)^t)? If a bank increases by 20% a year, would (r+1)^t be (1+0.2)^t or (1+1.2)^t? Sorry for all the questions 😅

Some people mentioned that the board were going to start something different with these kind of test, do you know anything about that?

A1 is switching over to next generation standards. A2 is going to switch for the 2025-2026 school year.

For #15, how is 325 not the initial temperature when put into the oven?

The equation is the initial temperature and e to the power of -0.4t is the part that shows how much the temperature increases by each hour

For #24, why did you multiply 12t by 1/12? Also I really appreciate the vids, and because of you I got a 100 on my geometry regents last year!

Your reviews include way too much concepts, rules and theorems that no sane student would bother learning. They only seem to confuse me further to the point of frustration. I wonder if anyone else experiences this.

Thank you for the feedback; I appreciate you taking the time to write this. Would you prefer reviews that are unit based so you can focus on less topics? Or do you prefer I take the test in real time and spend less time explaining the ins and outs? I put these videos together because the regents is a comprehensive test. Students usually watch these videos at the end of the year after they've seen every topic

@@EM88005 not to be pretentious, but I score low to mid 90s in all my classes. I can be quite lazy at times but I’m not a slack-off in class. And I’ve seen comments like mine on other videos of his as well.

@@vinteachesmath I am aware that my own unpopular opinion on your content is in no way a reason for me to demand you to change your reviews. However, Many students like myself solve problems like logarithm form with “simple” methods like DAN DNA (easy acronym to remember how to put your answer from exponent to logarithmic form). Your current reviews of entire regents exams at once work well, but for me (not speaking for anyone else), they can hard to follow. I’ll try to look at your other videos to better articulate myself sometime soon, but I now have a chem regents to study for :).
