For most applications the other techniques are better. However in more advanced engineering applications this is essential. We use this all the time in GPS code.

What happens if you do it BA^-1 instead of A^-1B... I have seen questions where the inverse came after the B like BA^-1 so when will it come before B or after B

It is always as shown in the video (no exception). But note how we defined A and B. If you reverse the definition of A and B, then you have to switch them in the equation, but you would be doing the exact same thing.
