Just imagine that this painting was a brief moment of beauty the artist experienced. And if it was not made into a piece of art, it would be lost forever. That is why I prefer paintings over photographies - because the painting captures the subjective view of it's creator, you can see the world through his inner eyes. I wonder how many moments of beauty like this have been lost forever? Billions and billions, I suppose. Our world is cursed to kill everything beautiful in it. Art is the only way we can keep beauty alive. Art is mutiny against this world.

It really is a beautiful painting, the more you look at it. The horizon, so rich and red, the dark hazy shadows of the scrubland leading to the lighthouse - I especially love the horizon that's peeking out on the left side, just visible

That is one of the most profound things I’ve ever read about art in general. Art is mutiny against the world. Wow

That last sentence sent shivers down my coccyx. My tailbone shall hopefully take this to the grave.

Algeria 1831 …one year after the French invasion a country under pressure .several invasions took part in the past romans..vandals..Hispanic ..ottomans and then French empire .the population was shattered apart ,all the ethnicities living in the same country and fighting against the coloniser .the music is capturing the sound of the shores of Algiers or maybe Tipaza . Thank you 😊

Algerians would be much better off today if they hadn’t rebelled. Now they live in authoritarian dictatorship.

Just discovered this channel - my type of ambient!! And if you take requests then it'd be great if you could create a soundscape for Timbuktu, 1493 (basically, in its medieval prime).
