Algeria, Cederberg, Cape Nature | Campsite Review

Algeria is a beautiful campsite in the heart of the Cederberg mountains. It is between Citrusdal and Clanwilliam. The campsite is part of the Cape Nature group. it is a well managed and well maintained campsite. it is an easy and scenic drive. The area is very popular with hikers. There's a lot of hiking trials and beautiful rock formations and rock art in the area. There is a river running though the camp and you can enjoy swimming in the river. I can definitely recommend this campsite.

What time of year was this? Is there an alternate route to avoid that river crossing?

Hi. We were there April, May. It is only with very heavy rain that you cannot use the bridge. You can drive through Citrusdal. Turn right at the 4 way stop. It is a gravel road and you will turn into the road to Algeria just pss the bridge. Happy camping.
