The latest software update really sharpens up the signal. After installing you do a factory reset. This turns of the vibration and gives access to to threshold pitch adjustments. It’s a marked improvement. This info is for people thinking of buying one. The fact that Algoforce is working on software tweaks, then allowing users to upgrade regularly is nothing short of brilliant.

Very good detector found some nice spec with it 12"nugget finder evolution it detects very deep i have to use a pinpointer where in the hole it is ,very stable on most ground love it ,👍👍👍👍👍

Just a tip, instead of flipping to coil over to test targets, just get some 3M clear film and cover the top of the coil so you don't scratch it up. works a treat.

Gday Ed, I understand this unit itself can’t be used underwater but are there coils suitable for submerging in a foot or two of water?

Although these coils appear well sealed, they aren’t explicitly stated to be waterproof. The Detech coils claim to be waterproof though 👍

This one is not waterproof like a Surfmaster. I’m sure if would be fine over wet though.

Hi Phil, coils are optional with the machine, as AlgoForce do not make coils, instead they detector is compatible with the SD / GP / GPX Coils 5-Pin Mono coils (excluding GPX6000 coils). Larger coils can detect deeper into the ground but have less sensitivity to smaller targets.

Sorry mate but I don’t see any outstanding benefits with this machine apart from light weight and target ID. It certainly shows to not have much depth. It’s fancy a pretty but it doesn’t seem to find gold any better than most detectors out there.
