Thanks, Jason. I really appreciate the campsite tour. It's nice to see more than just the firepit. 👍🚣♂️🏕️🙂

Always nice to revisit a place with great memories. I visited that area years ago. Nice walk around the campsite. Listening to the sounds of the loon is beautiful. Enjoy watching your adventures

Years ago, my wife and I put in at access point 3, paddled for a day camped at Queer lake. We started on the Tim River from there with plans to paddle to Shippagew Lake and make our way to Big Trout Lake in one day. We were used to canoeing in Michigan, so were not prepared for the dozens of beaver dams along the way. It got dark before we made it to our destination, exhausted, and we finally took out at the only place we could find to camp, a former designated site off a backpacking trail. I thought my wife was going to kill me (since I planned the route). That night, we were almost asleep when four wolves -- we were in the middle of the pack -- began howling, close enough that I could have hit one with a rock. As hard as that day was, it is still one of our favorite memories.

A few years ago I was camped out by myself and woke up in the middle of the night needing to pee fairly bad. As I became more aware I heard wolves howling and running through the forest. I couldn't hold it anymore and ventured out of the tent with a flashlight. The light reflected off the leaves and behind the immediate trees became complete darkness. I stood there in the dark, alone, doing my business as I heard the pack run through the forest which sounded like only 20 feet away. It was a frightening experience but also a cool memory.

I am curious what sparked your obsession with the west side acceses.

Another great vid Jason. My 10-day BWCA was canceled so I'm looking either at Algonquin or Temagami for 5 nights. How's the fishing in Algonquin?
