I switched form Traktor (7 years) to Rekordbox (5 years) and now to DJay Pro. Hopefully for a few years too.

It already does tbh, but older DJ’s who bought all their gear and learned Serato or even worse rekordbox don’t want to acknowledge reality.

I have used DJ for quite a while and the only thing I hate is that the gridding is almost always off for tracks without intros.

I m a NI user and rekorbox user. I m use engine too .. very bad.. pitch control is setting to 5/8/10/20/50% only.. with Traktor I’ m playng with 14% 12%.. beatgridding is old yes but using and trained Your ears with this whithout see bpm using NI its like a drug.. rekorbox too.. I want use Algoriddim but these software are too sensitive and For me its easy beatmatching with vinil or using NI or rekorbox.. I dont know why.. Algoriddim is interesting anyway.. engine Apparently was futuristic but …. Very bad

Normally I’d be with you, but I think it’s reasonably priced given that it’s really well supported with a constant stream of new features and great community interaction. Not sure it’s ready to claim the title as the best ‘pro’ platform, but algoriddim’s development approach is leading the way by miles for me.

Great video as always. I hear your frustration with screen support. I purchased Rev 5 and it works amazingly well on iOS. Flx 10, Omnius Duo, RX3 and others will be disappointed with no screen support. Rane four screens are on Mac and Windows so I don’t know why they can’t on those.

Between this and the MASSIVE 12.1 beta update from Ableton, it’s been a great day. Been wanting Phase HID for what feels like years, and the deep integration with Apple Music makes this a no brainer.

I have the T7 and was waiting for support. Just found this out. Time to get this a go ! I love to live blend , remix tracks, and make lots of edits for travel to vibe too , so i've heard DJ Pro sounds better. The crossfader transitions is appealing so we are going to give this a go ! Will report back in a few weeks.

Of course they add phase hid support right after I stopped using phase... But I stopped bc I'm using the Crss12's so I'm glad they added the native support for pad modes... While I still main Serato DJay is my favorite alternative software... Thanks for the amazing content as always

Good heads up video Mojaxx thank you. Still no support for anything by Roland which is disappointing. The 707m remains one of the best mobile DJ controllers out there, love to see that supported particularly with iPad OS. A 707m with iPad Pro support would be a real game changer as far as portability goes. I live in hope !!!

Yeah the lack of screen support is a downer, but shouldn't make it unseable at all. The sc loves for instance you can use the screen as an IOS stand :) I am going to try it out just for the fun of it. Whilst Denon take their time to catchup. I hope for the Mac version they do add that screen support even if it is just a duplicate of what's displayed on the mac

I’ve recently made the switch, but I think djay pro should have a few videos of their guys crushing more pro grade gear using laptops. I really appreciate the flexibility of their software and understand they’re separating themselves by having Dj Angelo crush a set on his phone or Dynamix using the Reloop ready etc. but think they could get more users to switch if they had more video with split screens of the gear and their software like the video with JFB.

Tried my sc love 4 with it. OK you loose the main screen but the jog displays are working so I have bpm time and the track position indicator. So it's a start.

mannn, when they launched they were so ahead, and features wise, their touch to effect system was pretty innovative. probably unpopular opinion, but their stems feature is, and always has been, leagues ahead of its competitors. the biggest win originally was it's free/native integration with Spotify which sadly was removed.. glad to see non-apple chips being supported though.

Re: Prime GO, RX2, RX3… why would I buy a device like that - all-in-one where I need “no computer” (cuz the computer is bundled in) - and then want to connect it to software running on a computer? That seems very counter-intuitive to me. If you are doing that, please tell me why you are doing it because I don’t understand the thinking behind it.

There could be a number of reasons. For me, with the RX2/RX3 it’s because they’re installed at venues I play, and I don’t want to go without stems. And with the Prime Go, sometimes I haven’t exported quite the right playlists to a drive to use on it. Or I want Beatsource offline files. Or, again… Stems.

@@MojaxxI agree, I have the Go paired up with my iPad and it’s a great portable set up, I have midi mapped my software as the natively supported map lacks a few things including working VU meters for example.. Sure I would love the screen to work but it’s not an end of the world as I’m not sure I would depend upon it given I’m used to the full size of an iPad.

Traktor hardware support will probably never happen. Which is a shame because I was hoping to test this software out on my Kontrol S2 MK3 before considering making a switch to the upcoming Reloop Mixtour Pro.
