watching this makes me realize how much alhaitham tried to talk some sense into kaveh. my man has been trying for years and still trying. he genuinely cares about kaveh and it's insane how some ppl don't see it

Very true. All of the harsh word he used just his style of telling his thought. I even amazed that he still try to talk to Kaveh with his personality. Everyone know how Alhaitham favor simple and peaceful life. With his personality, if he did not consider Kaveh a really important friend, he won't bother to try to talk to Kaveh every time he found something wrong with him.

I almost think it is the latter as he is getting angry with him after Kaveh told him the story what happened in the second round in 4:32

I never knew Kaveh has one of the toughest backstory in Genshin :'( THAT TOUGH! This event makes me shitting tears... Kaveh's wise side of his personality is also really preaching! Whatta generous man 👏 I admire him. He been through a lot, been having many hard times. Also, Al-Haitham, he may be bad at expressing himself. Even to assisting Kaveh. But, he always cares & he tries. He tries to speak wisdom in senseful way, to make sure Kaveh to not get down in every situation & every cases he faces. On the other hand, Kaveh doesn't always get Haitham's point & can't deal with him... :(( I've learned so much from them. Kaveh deserves great luck & great happiness in his entire life

What I feel that the only thing Alhaitham talked with Nilou in this event was about Kaveh. And she is just smiling politely but inside she is like "dammit just get a room you two"😂😂😂

And again the mood in the English version is so different from the Chinese one. I don't understand it, I play with subtitles, but my impression of Alhaitham is almost emotionless. No short laughs, no "ahem", no verbal eye-rolling. So he is just stating facts to Kaveh. That he does this shows me that he cares in his very unique way. I assume someone like him would know exactly how Kaveh reacts and we all know that Alhaitham values his peace, so why would he make someone snap at him, if he didn't think it was worth it at some point? And Kaveh... omg in Chinese he sounds so calm, so kind, sprinkled with a little bit of arrogance at times, his anger is almost cute, but he can also sound so incredibly sad, like he would break out into bitter tears any time soon. He is one of my fav actors in GI so far. The English voice actor is not bad, but imo he doesn't even come close to what type of person the Chinese voice actor makes out of Kaveh.

Just say the English dub sucks. It's not an unpopular opinion. Everyone will agree with you. It's fine.

@@anneoneal3865 lol, your comment made my day. :D But seriously: I really didn't mean to say that the dub is bad. Yes, in my personal opinion Japanese and Chinese voice acting in GI is better (don't know about Korean), but trying to look at it objectively English is not worse - only different. Which causes quite a few disagreements in the community, because the dynamic between the characters can differ so much. And I think that is the biggest problem with the English version. But most of the time that's on the director afaik - not the VAs themselves.

@@SeiichirouUta Doesn't matter whose fault it is, the general consensus is the English localization is not only inaccurate but disrespectful to the original script. Therefore, English dub sucks. It is what it is.
