Day 2 Wan Village to Gairoli Patal
Trek: 9 km | Duration: 4-5 hours | Altitude: approx 9000 ft | Altitude gain: 1,000 ft.
After a hearty breakfast, start on our trek from Wan Village, following a trail that meanders through terraced fields and local settlements. Encounter shepherds tending to their flocks, adding a touch of authenticity to your journey. The trail gradually ascends, offering glimpses of the surrounding peaks as you gain altitude. Before commencing the main ascent, visit the Latu Devta Temple, a revered local shrine dedicated to the protector of the village. Seek blessings for a safe journey and learn about the local folklore surrounding the deity. Further moving our trek to Ranka Dhar, a place steeped in mythology, believed to be the site of a battle between Goddess Parvati and the demon Lohasur. Descend to the Neel Ganga River, a refreshing oasis amidst the trek. Cross the river and continue through oak and rhododendron forests, immersing ourself in the tranquillity of nature. Reach Gairoli Patal, our base camp for the night. And also learned new lesson [iykyk] 📱😂...
