I grew up in one of beautiful and lush green towns of Haraghe province, Melka Rafu (Kombolcha), listening to the greats of Oromo artists Ali Sheboo and Ali Birraa. Both used to come to our town and play once or twice a year mainly for weddings and other cultural events. My heart feels with joy every time I listen to Ali’s music and it is the only music that is attached to the deepest part of my soul and able to transport me back to early days of my life freely. I am eternally grateful for that. May god grant him a happy and long life!!! Alazar
