Great flyer, great pilot. Now I want to see a full size reproduction that utilizes a modern turbine instead of a rocket. Great model. Loved the takeoff dolly and the dead stick landing.

It is an amazing flyer, shown off beautifully by the pilot. I surmise that this model uses a turbo jet - I could spot apertures let in around the nose for its air intake. I liked the "under new management" finish - presumably from a captured example that passed through RAF hands. The yellow underside (used for "prototypes" in the 40s) looks particularly good against a blue sky. Kudos to pilot & constructor(s)!

You can hear the turbine, clearly it's turbine powered. Without going turbo jet it would have to be powered by a large solid rocket motor and that wouldn't work well.

What an increadible skilled pilot! A precision landing in front of him, using no engine.... many private pilots can not do that, such an exercise without engine.

If only the cameraman had the same skills as the pilot. It would have been perfect. Incredible jet and pilot. Cameraman, not so much. lol

Beautiful - such a rare bird, and what a great choice of livery!!! Out of curiosity, how does it, or would it, handle with the turbine off? Decent glide ratio, or slightly better than a brick?
@ArcherRC4 ай бұрын
@@redguard2946 Ali actually turn the engine off on many of the flights and glided it in with acrobatics along the way. I know the musics going but on a few landings you can hear there’s no engine running. So to answer your question it flys like glider or to quote Ali “it fly like a big ZAGI” ! If you’ve been in the hobby you know what that is!!!
