@Bravo3038 ай бұрын
That's a great question! Turbine jets are amazing, but they're also quite complex.
@michelbrown10608 ай бұрын
@@Bravo303 yes I know yet all of today airplanes are mostly turbofans, developed in the early 60 for more efficency on fuel to fly but they need double concentric shafts. . Some guys or company must be at it already. . 😉 .With turbofan, fuell SFC went fro, .6 something to the actual .4. .or better. .
@Bravo3038 ай бұрын
A turbo fan would certainly be interesting for scale accuracy but I don’t think fuel efficiency would be a high priority as such… most pilots (myself included) are pretty mentally wiped after flying a jet for 6 to 14 minutes particularly at public shows where you need to be at your best to show the best attributes of the model
@fredhunter71299 ай бұрын
Should learn on a cheap model before flying this beauty
@Bravo3038 ай бұрын
That's a great point, and starting with a less expensive model is a common way to learn the ropes. However, experienced pilots can also make the occasional misjudgment, especially with high-performance aircraft like the SU30. I can assure you this pilot has the skills to handle this jet safely.

@Bravo3038 ай бұрын
Haha, well those ad blockers do come in handy! But hey, those pesky ads are how some creators, like myself, afford to travel to amazing airshows like Weston Park. Maybe next time you see an ad, think of it as a virtual tip jar for bringing you free RC jet spectacles!
@avronaut9 ай бұрын
At a go around airbrakes should be retracted and the approaches are very bad controlled. Nice model in hands of of an insecure pilot. He should exercise with beginner models. This jet is a real danger in hands of beginners.

Buddy you couldn’t even get close to flying this thing lmao
@avronaut9 ай бұрын
@@liamdemay4710 And that makes this pilot better? 😅🤣😂
@Bravo3039 ай бұрын
@avronaut Appreciate your input bud, just just to clarify the use of the Air brake you noted during go around and on landing is intentional, the model is designed to be super slippery even more so than the full size aircraft its based on (hence why its flying without the aid of several computers to assist with the flyby wire) Its thanks to this design that the model is one of the best jet scale models that can achieve a true High Alpha flight posture in the air.... On the other side of this coin however is the fact that all that design for superb flight characteristics makes it .. "Interesting" to land so the air brake is permanently deployed to act and a stabilizing force Hope this all makes sense

Seems as though there are now more models flying than the real aircraft...........................
@Bravo3038 ай бұрын
Well there is something to be said of the massive cost difference between full size and model versions, Not too mention when you want to talk about the more notable air frames of our history most of the Full size examples are now grounded and unable to take to the skies
@tacfoley44438 ай бұрын
@@Bravo303 I'm not talking about the size-cost comparison. I'm talking about the loss rate of the russian airforce comparing that to the ever-increasing numbers of large-scale models. Sooner or later we'll find that, just like the many models of Spitfires around, there will be more models of the SU30 than the real thing. BTW, are you American?
