I will miss the Legend Mr. Bobby Womack. . My heart is very heavy tonight as now comes the part where everyone will hear of his death and play his music like crazy because you will never personally hear that sound except maybe radio or tv. Never leave a person being so angry that if something comes back where you wanna talk yet dont have the chance to say it. Millions of us never knew Mr. Womack personally but if you grew up in a home like me you grew close to the music and loved every bit of it. Thinking it would never end. Many will try to impersonate, some will come real close, but it will never make the sound of this amazing man who as I child I grew to love. May Mr. Womack find peace away from this crazed world. He will truly be so missed!!! :(

Yessss!!!! I loved the Arsenio Hall show, the best night time talk show, so missed. That was a great throwback favorite memory from an episode. Treat her like a lady is my favorite song by the Temps that was not led by Eddie,Paul or David. Ollie got a great, soulful, gritty, gospel tone n that falsetto is redonkculous! I can’t start on Bobby Womack, I need to hear If you think you’re lonely now,my favorite of his. Had to give KC Haley his props cause he wore that remake out n I don’t approve of remakes if they won’t be better or just as good as the original. RIP to these men, no voices like that anymore

TRUE STORY:i was visiting Atlanta in the summer of 84; went to a local bar in Buckhead and was amazed at brotha lead singer fronting an all-white blues band; two months later, went home to see Temptations perform at Holiday House in Monroeville-Pittsburgh, Pa. - they announnced their new lead singer, Ali Ollie Woodson. He also spent time working local bands in Augusta, Ga. in the late 70s-early 80s. A legendary vocalist that we really miss.

Awwww Man. Arsenio had to shut that thing down. Ali Woodson was just about to take over. That's some of that James Brown, Michael Jackson, MC Hammer type energy. I'm a musician and I know what I'm talking about. When it's real like that, you don't have to tell the audience to get up. they will on their own. Arsenio had a schedule to keep, had he waited 30 more seconds before signaling the band to shut her down. Woodson would have taken over the show. Man I LOVE that sh**. That dude man, his voice sounds like the way James Brown, and Michael Jackson danced. RIP sir to you and Bobby W.

Thanks for sharing that with those of us who feel the same way about him. By all reports, he was a genuinely beautiful person, in addition to being a knock-out vocalist. I know he put me out for the count when I watched the video of him & the Tempts on Whoopi's Show right after Eddie Kendricks' funeral (David had died a few months earlier). He sang "Wish It Would Rain" (which I would have sworn nobody but David could ever do), and wiped me out completely. So beautiful, so deeply soul-touching.
