David was a "bad boy", which added to his mystique. But, break it down to just vocals. Ollie has the raps, he can sing ballads or fast songs, he was a better dancer/performer, better vocal control as far as singing straight or just runs.

Ollie is the real deal, He sung at my best buddy party who were good friends with him, He was working on a new album before he passed and R Kelly had wrote a song for him, He and another friend of mine even had a vocal duel off, which I hope someone taped because it was literally bone chillin, My other buddy who is similar to Luke james they were all going at it, High notes and all. RIP Ollie you left good memories.

Ali was prolly the most talented of all the Temptation lead singers. David was great on those 3 minute Holland/Dozier/Holland & Smokey songs from the 60's, along with Eddie. Dennis was perfect for the psychedelic era, the 70's great songs then the later ballads. Ali, although they were no longer getting consistently good songs, had the chops to top them all. RIP to every one.
