Arijit is my favourite from India and Ali Sethi from Pakistan. Both are gems ❤️

See the difference between Arijit and Ali is that Arijit just comes in the studio when music director calls him sings and goes home. He's not involved in the composition, production and mastering the track. On the other hand Ali (in some cases) writes his own songs, composes them, produces them. He's an all in one army

I know composer has great role in any song but remember composer use instruments to pick notes which are more accurate thn human voice...the main part is how singer sing that exactly note with his voice and this is most difficult part. Even if u cant sing u can create a good song if u have knowledge of music and instruments

Let me ask you all, who creates the dhun of a song? who creates the arrangement of what instrument should play when? who puts together the notes and teaches the singer the song? Yes the singer needs to be skillful enough to sing it as well good enough to bring that feel to it, not denying it. But it's always the composer who runs the show not the singer. Remember it's always the Ragas which brings in certain emotions not the singer. Ragas are based of multiple notes compiled together in a unique formation and not which singer/artist is presenting them. Let's take an example of a cover song. A cover of any song means another artist is singing the same song in his/her own way, the singers can change the composition remains the same.
