His father had him selling dope when he was a kid. Notice the reason Ali gives for his father giving them bank. His motivation was so he could look like he was the top dog. That has nothing to do with being mature and doing what’s best for your child. That’s not fatherhood. Ali is clearly very intelligent, observant, and competent. He was a kid who should have gone to a good school, been well cared for, and gone on to university.

So I'm getting ready to go to Iraq as a young man, and this old Vietnam vet tells me "always trust your gut". I take this information, ponder it, then I call my dad who's also a old Vietnam vet and ask him about it. Dad tells me your gut is your subconscious. Your eyes and your brain see everything but your brain filters out what it doesn't think it's important, but your sub conscious files at all, and sends a message to your conscious brain saying "hey, I saw a dude in the window with a rocket launcher!" the only way it can which is through your gut. So always trust your gut because it's your consciences' way of saying "I saw something you didn't see trust me on this one" 27 months of combat and 12 yrs later I'm an old man telling you this story.

The more I watch Ali the more he edges Dave out as my favorite comedian … like seriously… His story telling ability is top notch. I’ve watched him live on IG and he’s just like one of those people that’s just ignant and can connect to you on so many commonalities of Black American culture that he makes you feel Ike you know him or he reminds you of someone you know. I still dig Dave but Ali makes me hyperventilate like Dave used to before he went away. All things have a season and I would love to see Ali in more than just stand up settings… I have no doubt that Ali could be bigger than Kevin in terms of comedic acting in my opinion… I used to be a big fan of Kevin but he started moving in a way that made me feel like he didn’t care if you were laughing at him and not with him as long as he was getting paid and his comedy just didn’t land the same for me… is it just me? Who knows? What I do know is that I’m ready for Ali to take the torch and run with it…. Ali Bombaya!!!
@Beautiful_soul9992 жыл бұрын
Nope it's not just you on those feelings about Kevin. I used to think Kevin, Mike Epps and Katt Williams were the best comedians out there. But I have since broadened my perspective on comedy and since then I can see that Kevin ain't the same and neither is Katt Williams. They had their seasons like you said but Ali is one of if not the best story tellers in such a long time. Big ups to him too for making it out the system and creating a better life for himself. I know first hand it's not easy but it's do-able. ❤️ ❤️
