Hello! I am very grateful to you for such educational videos. You reveal a lot of important material. Can you please tell me how you get surfaces that start fillet at 0:17 seconds? Multi-Surface Draft and then crop them? Or how? Very interested in triangular surfaces I can't figure it out, tell me, please, I will be very grateful to you

ohlssonster in terms of very high level surfacing, NX is definitely capable and is used in the automotive industry. They both have the capacity, I just think Alias has better design process tool set.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I thought I overheard you say in a previous video that you would have prefered to be a NX user if you didnt already spend the time in Alias, was a little perplexed hearing that

@@ohlssonster I use NX and can say that the tools are pretty dumb in comparison to Alias and ICEM.. everything from fillets to square surfaces are much more smart in Alias (by smart I mean it can achieve continuity by itself much more easily and automatically with good optimized CV layout).. NX has far too many options and settings for you to tweak to achieve the same that would be done with a few clicks in Alias.. matching/aligning surfaces is way faster in Alias too! The analysis tools are also better in Alias and are even faster (CV occlusion in shaded mode is a pain in the butt in NX and also the analysis tools fonts are way too small and etc.. NX has to be seriously tweaked for a faster workflow). The other thing that is actually great about NX that it's so easy to learn (no need to learn the exotic and ancient interface of Alias not to mention the irrational key shortcuts) AND you've got history (that you can remove with remove parameter feature)! Oh and NX calls vertices as poles :D wtf :D
