Miss Barker is fabulous! She is so full of life for being 103 years old! She seems to have such a great attitude about life and that's so important. I love watching the old videos of her dancing! What a wonderful dancer she was!

I love these videos about Alice Barker she was so beautiful, still is. it is heartbreaking though to watch her at times bc you see a woman who would do anything to be able to get out of that bed and go back in time so she could live her life again. she was so blessed to get to do the thing that made her happy and fulfilled in life and I'm sure she sees how lucky she was for it, but it is definitely life's cruelest joke that we should end our lives in such a condition that we can't even get up and take care of ourselves; watching our own bodies betray us more and more every day so when it's finally over we've more or less reverted back into the fragile helpless infants we were back when we originally came into this world... even if you aren't ready and wish with every bit of you and your strength that you could still have many many more good years to live out. at least Alice got the opportunity to finally go see herself in these films after all those years ( I can't believe that she had never actually seen any of it on film before)

Music has been proven therapy for our seniors especially those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Just for that five minutes in time, they hear the songs of their youth and that short a time, they’re memory and personality pops out of no where. If you’re paying attention to Ms Barker when they start up the videos, her eyes light up and she’s singing and going through her moves when she was dancing. God bless Ms Barker.
