When I was about 10 years old, his albums were on my Christmas wish list! I can't believe my parents, who were older than most of my other friend's parents, bought me all that was available! I was thrilled and felt so cool.

Haha yeah I got Marilyn Manson for Christmas when I was like 13 or 14. I was surprised they got that for me. Not something I would ask for these days. Was never a big Manson fan but I was on the bandwagon. He was popular at the time so I asked for it. Kids trying to fit in I guess.

Melonee Murray, having older parents, who, at the time, had no clue worked in your favor. Kudos to you! 👏🏼 In my opinion, parents probably thought Alice Cooper was some ugly woman who had an ugly voice.

My favourite Alice Cooper track, love the vocals and guitar riff. There’s another clip on YT of him performing this live, somewhere in Germany I think, where he gets up close to the audience and one of them reaches out and pulls out a tuft of his hair for a souvenir. He didn’t bat an eyelid, true professional.

My first concert ever was in 1975 at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, New Jersey. I turned 13 that year. It was James Gang, Leslie West and Mountain, Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer together and the headliner was Alice Cooper. I was such an Alice Cooper fan and he seemed like a god to me at the time. Believe it or not that whole concert was 8 dollars. It was the “Welcome to my Nightmare” tour and I never forget when he sang in front of a movie screen of a graveyard with his tombstone all lit up with neon lights. He turned around and looked at it then ran right through the screen and instantly appeared in the movie of the graveyard. It was so perfectly timed it appeared he jumped into the movie. I honestly believe there was more weed smoked that day than at any concert today. If you read this Alice I was good friends with Amy in High School. I know you made friends with her to some degree She had a radio show in Arizona some years ago. Man its amazing how much time has passed. Just know I am not worthy but still love you to death.

Technically, they called Alice "Theatrical Rock" because all of his early shows were like watching a bizarre kind of movie. I saw both Billion Dollar Babies and Welcome to my Nightmare tours and they were like nothing you see anymore. Hard charging rock, and great entertainment. He is one of my all time favourites.

The Drummer had a 13pc drum set and long blonde hair. I thought he was a girl. We saw the show with the Dancing tooth. I had heard Alice dances while handling a live snake and I think he did.
