I hear and listen for that stuff too. I don’t play an instrument but guitar in all forms is a my favorite; acoustic, electric, bass, intro/outro guitar, solo guitar, and carrying the same pace/rhythm through the whole song guitar. And I love rap. Actually MC rap such as Eminem NF, Royce 5’9, Joyner, Kendrick etc. the double and triple meaning bars, Easter eggs, rap is just music that makes you think and you have to have a poet’s ear

I lived in the middle of nowhere when I was a kid. No one came through on tour. But Alice did and most importantly he brought Motorhead as the opening act. I actually bought Lemmy a drink after the show when he showed up at the local bar. So in a round about way I have Alice Cooper to thank for meeting Lemmy Kilminster.

Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about rock? I feel like rock is literally impossible to hate simply because it's such a huge and diverse genre that encompasses so many types of songs, so you're bound to like certain types of rock. "Rock" includes anything from Jimi Hendrix to the All American Rejects, from Elvis to Black Sabbath, from Chuck Berry to Gwen Stefani, from Queen to Coldplay. I would go as far as to say that rock is the single biggest genre in the world, both in terms of variety as well as sheer popularity. That's why I'm curious as to how you could possibly hate rock?

I was 12 when "Billion Dollar Babies" came out. I remember my older brother listened to Alice Cooper and I started to really pay attention and listen to his music. I knew even as a kid that his music was really good, and catchy, controversial and dark yet he seemed like a "decent guy" despite his bad boy image. I even bought "Billion Dollar Babies" way back then in the 70s when I was just a pre-teen. I would say, though, that Poison is my favorite song of his for the sheer quality of the songwriting and execution and emotion of it. It is so well crafted and it's timeless.

Beneath the makeup and the theatrics lies a master storyteller and a true musical innovator. Alice Cooper's ability to blend horror with humor, darkness with light, has made him a cultural icon. But beyond the shock value, his music offers a deep exploration of the human psyche. Let's take a moment to appreciate the artistry of Alice Cooper and the lasting impact he's had on rock and roll. #AliceCooper #shockrock #rocklegend #music #nostalgia #throwback
