This lady can do torch songs like they should be and there is a great collection of those. I don't know if that's where her heart is though. I prefer when she sings closer to jazz than to soul. Her "Funny Valentine" skated on the edge of the notes, but as sure-footed as a mountain goat. It was dazzling.

This is a perfect example of what is good and bad about the talent shows. They discovered her and she is great, but she needed time to grow to survive and there is no room for a lesser performance. I am happy to see her still working at her craft, I feared her confidence may have been shattered and that would have been a loss for us all.

In my opinion she did sing quite well on the Voice. I listened to that video dozens of times. It was great singing. The Voice UK and US have flaws in their operational theory that need to be addressed. The Voice UK and US have never produced a big star. Other shows have produced legends, so that leaves one possibility, the rules are so flawed that the best singers are voted off far too quickly. It's a crying shame really.

Sadly, Alice stopped singing around the time of release of her debut album at the beginning of 2017. She also closed her website and has not posted anything on her Facebook account since late 2017. Including the songs on her album, her auditions, and other postings, I'm aware of only 26 songs and 3 interviews.
