I've found when we lose a loved one it's so raw at first but gets easier given time,we never forget them and every now and again the grief suddenly rears it's head and stabs your heart but the pain doesn't come so often or so intensely. xx

Although it moves me to tears each time (I know, "men are supposed to be made of Steel", "emotions are for the weak" Blah!), it also gives me a perfect chance to reflect and reminds me that life is a fragile thing. It's important to live your life each day as if it were your last day, do those things you've always wanted to, but especially to say those words you meant to say to someone else but for whatever reason, you haven't. Now can always be the last chance for ALL things. ♥

Transitioning from the 3rd modality (loud chest voice) back down to 2nd (normal speaking range then down yet again to 1st (almost whispering) and maintaining perfect pitch, tone and clarity is EXTREMELY difficult. And the fact that she said she was nervous…even MORE so because your vocal muscles and everything connected get very tight making it tough to maintain ANY decent sound at all. She’s like The Bionic Woman of Voice! I’m a classically trained Mezzo-Soprano so I speak from experience.

The acting background really shows here. She really knows how to communicate emotion in a focused way, not just gushing emotion along with the stirring parts of the music. She was getting to this judge (4:02), for example. The woman really knows how to put a song over. Mad props.

@@ezriderzzr7104 Actually, she WAS good but the problem is that there are literally Hundreds if not thousands of people who are just as good , but are also trained singers which she is not(among other things her pitch was questionable often). There is no shortage of good singers, unfortunately you have to be in the right place at the right time, or you need that defining song , or that incredible part to get the spark started. People spend their entire lives with great voices, properly trained and controlled, that never get the big break. And others get that one song that will always define a star, even if their singing is questionable. Ethel Mermen would be a great example of that, her voice had power but little else - but there is still NO business like Show Business. No, it is not fair but that is the way it is.

@jarimikkola24263 жыл бұрын
@Candice Duberry The "perfect silence" simply means that the audience was so moved, or overcome by the performance that they cannot immediately respond to it with an ovation. It's what every artist longs to hear after they've sung. Especially a song that would normally cause an emotional response (like crying, or pouting) when they've concluded singing.
