(according to internet sources)...and grunge is by definition a fusion genre of alternative rock, heavy metal and punk rock. Basically AIC is a rock/metal band (not 100% metal, not 100% rock).

Because it IS Layne in the chorus! Life is an illusion. Just because the media reports someone as having died, does not ever mean it is true, especially those with fame. LISTEN TO THE LYRICS AND MELODY! It's Jerry and Layne both. If the air was not so filthy, the mind could think instead of following others, especially when it makes no sense. Of course, most of my life has been pain and torment, which gives me further insight into areas which most will never understand/comprehend.
