The MTV Unplugged series were great, some great bands did it - Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone temple pilots, Scorpions and quite a few more. Alice in chains and Pearl Jam were my two favourites in this series. I don’t remember seeing a concert that I didn’t like, I enjoyed this performance and your breakdown of it, nice attention to detail as always!

Stone Temple Pilots does a great unplugged for the song "Big Empty"

Thank you! And yeah, it seems like there is quite a long list of artists that were on Unplugged. I would love to go through them all one day, even different genres but some seem easier to find than others here on KZbin. Guess I know which ones to start with. 😅

Nice, The Killer is Me is an eerie one. It’s both calming and, as you said, somewhat haunting. It’s the way the song was designed that makes this one so great in my opinion. It peacefully brings together the two opposing ideas “insane the mind, in the name of me…” and “let things be…”

oh that 90s music still sounds so good and fresh. nowadays everything is produced in a strict box, from which a lot of naturalness is cut out.

As Ive mentioned before always loved interpretation of videos and found over the years some are way off from what may appear in the video and others are pretty spot on and also love the way you look up the lyrics and go to sites for the meanings of the songs /videos something Ive also loved doing . Great reaction Nikki . And another great example of why MTV needs to bring back UNPLUGGED !! Thewarning is one great example of a few that last year released some acoustic sets and shows they were on showing that just because your not hooked up to a bunch of new tech doesn't mean you cant have great music .And yes agree the interaction can be so great between the artists and the crowd. These stripped down versions can show how much talent they really have overall . Yes I get the haunting vibe too,love it .

Well thank you, I'm glad you like them! And yeah, MTV really should bring this back.. that would be amazing. 😁🎵 I just Googled and it seems like they brought back some version of it in 2020 called Unplugged At Home with a decent amount of artists but that was the last time they had a lot of releases like that. So there's a good many of them to go through if I wanted to branch out into different genres one day while keeping the same Unplugged vibe. 🤔 I'll link the Wikipedia page that lists them all if you wanna see. 😊 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_artists_featured_on_MTV_Unplugged

@nikkireviews If you want another rabbit hole to go down, I think that you'll probably love Clutch! Their song Electric Worry is a banger!
@ryanball275420 күн бұрын
It's kinda funny that you mentioned that you had mixed emotions during this song. I never really thought about it before, but I think that's why I love AIC so much because that's pretty much life in general, right? Full of mixed emotions. Another thing I thought of was every band can be very versatile in their music, but I really don't think anyone can beat AIC in being so versatile while doing it so good... Oh yeah, and it is Jerry Cantrell who sang that.
