Part 1 of a parody of the beloved Disney Classic "Alice in Wonderland," this video tells the story of a girl named Alice, who is being taught by her tutor out of a Prentice Hall book and is simply having a difficult time learning the math. As she's studying a talking rabbit distracts her and she follows it down its rabbit hole into the mysterious and mathemagical world of Numberland. There she has encounters with some very strange creatures and experiences a life-threatening interaction with the notorious Queen of Hearts, the Numberland monarch that the creatures there nick-name the Queen of Hard because of how difficult she makes even the most simple problems. Alice, after narrowly escaping undefinition, wakes up to discover that Numberland was all a dream. The odd thing, though, is that when she wakes up her math book is no longer Prentice Hall but Saxon and is full of quirky word problems with characters from Numberland. All background music is from the 1951 Alice in Wonderland Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Copyright Walt Disney Records. This video was originally aired as part of Escondido Charter High School's 12th Annual Saxon Day on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 as a school project and is not intended to be sold or marketed in any way.
