Great advice about stepping away from a project when crap happens- it’s taken me a long time to do that. I find the solutions I come up with after a step away, are much more successful then what I would have tried had I continued in the heat of the moment.

You have totally captured the essence of Alice In Wonderland with this beautiful book nook. I would love to see you make a Narnia nook, using The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as inspiration. That would make a perfect nook because it starts with a normal wardrobe and then transitions into the magical world of Narnia, in the same way that this book nook goes from a hallway in an old house to Wonderland. I love that transition from our world to another magic world. Thanks for another brilliant video. Love from Amanda Jones in Australia ❤

The mushroom lights are brilliant! Definitely a process I will investigate. This entire project was amazing - the idea of a book nook has always intrigued me, but I have had to put a stop to any project that is not directly related to my "Grand" project. That was awesome!! Book nooks are what brought me to viewing miniaturist’s channels. I don’t know the game reference of Alice and I’m sure if I did I would be even more appreciative of the nods to the game, but it really is stunning. What a cool build! It's got me thinking you can do amazing stuff even in small spaces, which is an important idea as I am just getting started and am a bit overwhelmed by the big projects I keep imagining... Thanks for sharing your lighting disaster. It's helpful to realize other people make major mistakes and still manage to get the project done. Besides, your mushroom lights were totally worth the effort.

Thank you! And I totally agree. I think sometimes small spaces really force you to push the level of detail because you have limited space but you want to make the most impact. It's a whole different puzzle compared to large projects! Both are fun in their own way :)

I too reacted the same way as Sean from Dolphin Magic when you took apart the electrical because of that cut. It is so easily fixed. It won't come apart if you superglue or solder. What a shame. Third time watching this video, and I actually really love the "hobby horse" mainly because it’s a real world item a young Victorian girl would have had at the time anyway (or an older Victorian teen snatching it from a younger cousin to credulously say "grow up" and then running around with it in private as an ode to childhood) and I think to finish a book nook with lights all you really need is to make a sleeve around it, so it looks finished but it easy to remove for battery replacement or light replacement. I still love this project so much, and hope you do another one of these for different genres of your favorite books to read! Maybe a Coraline one, or a Gulliver’s Travels (wink… because miniatures) or maybe a Little Women one? Something with tea and decrepit nature like Pride, Prejudice and Zombies? Something easy to break into to get a little fun for others looking just to skim the miniature sector without breaking the bank (since book nooks most times don’t need characters, just things that look like furniture). You’re amazing Ara, long live the miniature!

Aw. Man. My heart hurt when you snipped that wire. It's always frustrating when you have to do something again. But your persistence was SOOOOOOO worth it! All the little details in here are so fun and clever. The rook, the Queen of Hearts on the wall. But my favorite has to be that vine with the tiny tiny little cards growing out of it. The wallpaper you chose fits the scene very well too. That Cheshire Cat smile is BRILLIANT!!! What a fun technique!

Thank you!!! Alice in Wonderland has so many iconic imagery that it was fun to try and figure out how to fit the most into the small space! So glad you enjoyed the video and project!!😊

I always love watching you make something amazing out of nothing. Great job I love it. I watched someone else play the game, so the reference is spot on! Thank you for sharing this with us. I would like to see how you would finish the outside of it though ;)
