I, agree with you. Their video's are exceptional, but I also feel, when exploring a place do research, so besides just exploring or saying "It's pretty cool" provide structural architectural information or a little hx of the property or antique furniture info would make their video's exceptional. Adam the Daily Woo provides really nice info on his explorations, but his video footage is not as this channel. I find when watching their video's, I read viewers info comments to get more info about architectural education as I'm watching their video's.

You two really are my favourite urban explorers....you just never disappoint! This place was amazing, and your eye for composition really helps me see it as you did. It is sooo strange how all the paint is peeling off and the wallpaper too. Only moisture/steam would do that. maybe the whole house was flooded somehow. That also would explain the moldy master bedroom. Some kind of prolonged moisture affected this house. The colors of paint too were sooo gaudy and bright. Very odd indeed! Pamela Prizant I'm a painting contractor . If you don't run the A/C and heat to keep your house climate controlled that's what happens. Also that's oil paint most likely up north . They use latex down south because of the high humidity will allow mold to grow inside the paint before it cures . Hope that helps

It really doesn't take long for the paint to peel off the walls. I know of someone who passed away about 2 years ago and left a large old house. The person died without a will. The relatives couldn't keep the utilities on as they didn't have much money at all. The utilities had been on all winter but by May the paint was coming off the walls and the 1920's plaster had started cracking off the ceiling lathing even before. It was much worse about 4 months ago. It's sad.

There's really nothing interesting about the house. The owners really didn't have much in the way of possessions. Nothing to look at really. We had hoped the older man who owned it would be coming back so my friend and I cleaned the place of garbage. I mean stuff that would be thrown in the bin daily. Exploded cans of pet food in the closet ect.

Valen, That sort of thing was popular in the early 1970's. My cousin's bedroom was painted red with bright blue wood work. He hated it. He said that it was so distracting he would take a table lamp and read books in the clothes closet. We were about 10 or 12 at the time.

I believe between the heat and cold one of the owners painted with latex paint over oil based underneath. That's one of the reasons it's peeling so badly. Cool find from a new subscriber. Maybe the last owner passed away and it's in the states possession now. Look's like it's been ransack pretty bad how very sad.

Those lock covers are very common in Britain and are still seen in stately homes today. After central heating became almost universal here and locks were updated for security the key locked doors fell out of favor. The idea was that it would stop the draught coming through the keyhole

Lori Randazzo yup it’s the Gladstein. Their address is listed online. If you look at google maps it’s the exact house. Animal abusers. That’s what the smell is the urbex people talked about. Nothing online about who Emily is though, but there’s pictures of Michael and Marilyn online. They bought the house for 900k in the 1990s. They definitely have mental health issues

Lori Randazzo there’s a picture of a little girl in one of these two videos with “Emily” written on it so people were talking about her and maybe she’s the doll collector. But I think the husband and wife were just batshit crazy, possibly collected all that stuff and didn’t even have a daughter. Emily is listed online as in her 60s. @ Natalia...Yes....you are right!...I was so interested in the background that I did a little research and in under an hour I found out when they bought the house...how much for...the names of the family registered there...details of the offences committed and finally...That the family were forbidden to ever re-enter the house after the arrest of the parents and that the house was condemned.....Hence...everything being left behind....Given the state of the house, I would be loathe to take ANYTHING from it at all as it would have all been contaminated....I couldn't find anything to say that anyone else in the family was involved except the two owners...and I live in the UK!! xD

I would love to live in this house! Beautiful place! Wonder if it could be restored? Just an amazing find! Seems like it's been empty since the 90's by the VHS tapes & pictures. Pictures are all digital nowadays. Also curious on the full story. Did they pack up the valuables and what they wanted & left or did looters clear it out? There is still so much left behind! But I've been in abandoned houses before and know people that rent houses, and it's amazing how much stuff people leave behind!

This is the true story without revealing names and the place of abandonment: no human died there, but if other living things died there, the owners had problems with the law, the reason for abandonment will never understand it, but it was possibly the divorce, the owner is still working in the same city, a few kilometers from there, the town has another 3 abandoned houses. What should be scary are the bathtubs throughout the house and not the girls' room, which in my opinion are adorable. The mystery of this house is that most of it has objects from the 90s, but the abandonment occurred in the end of 2010 beginning of 2011. I'm sorry for my bad English, I speak another language.

I think that some of these places with electricity still on could have been paid up to a certain amount of time. My cousin and her husband are well off and usually pay for 2-5 years in advance for their utilities. Pretty crazy but I guess it’s possible or the power company may just not have cut the line for some reason

Normally I don't have too much reaction when I see these places other than thinking how really sad it is that beautiful places are left to decay. However, this one for some reason actually made me a bit sick to my stomache. Some of the stuff looks like it might have been staged by photographers but otherwise, it does seem as though something awful happened to them and maybe that's why I just feel queazy. That people would just ransack that house makes me mad. You should really wear masks as much as possible when you go into those moldy places. It is extremely dangerous. Doesn't take much to stir up the mold spores. They obviously took care of that place - those bathroom tiles and tubs are so shiny and clean! So 2 things - your camera work is getting better and I applaud your honesty and integrity. Keep up the good work! (BTW I think they might have been into either doll making or doll collecting. Some doll heads made from porcelan cannot take the changes in temperature as indicated from the black face. It depends on how well they were glazed and fired. They are however, very pricy this collection).

This is the animal hoarder's house. They had over 150 animals in that house. They were killing each other over what little food was there. Many found dead in the bath tubs. The man is a dermatologist and his wife was his receptionist. Saw it in another video of this home. Disgusting people.

I'm a bit of an archivist nerd who loves digging through old newspaper articles and family history. It just really like your other fans leaves me wanting to know what happened, and why they just walked away. I'd love to volunteer to help. I'm retired and it would really be interesting to know the history of these places and we can still keep the privacy of the family and location out while being true to the tale.

you know what would be fun? not just exploring some of these old abandoned places but throwing down and staying in one. Not for ever but for a few days. It could be like an explorers challenge. The bigger and creeper the better... You should reach out to fellow explorers and coordinate the effort. What FUN!

I don't like the colors either but I've learned it wasn't unusual for our ancestors in houses such as this one to have bold colors that we wouldn't have today. I think the house isn't old-fashioned but is really an old house with colors from the era it was built. (I"m guessing late 1700's to early 1800's.) The house and woodwork are great but if i lived there: Give me nice polished and varnished wood; those colors have to go!

It was a bit of a fad not quite 20 years ago, to paint Railings Window Frames very bright solid colours. I don't think much of it either.

Maybe not but when I think of Alice and wonderland book or movie everything had all those bright colors that didn't match. So maybe this was done because they wanted the true Alice house

I like color and I think it gives this house some warmth, however I do think the decorator went a bit overboard, losing some of charm of this idea. I think it could have been done more tastefully by figuring the color scheme beforehand, I think whomever decorated, just casually chose colors at random.

im going to put two and two together. the house may be in disarray due to a possible investigation. pictures shot by the police then search and seizure. if the entire family was arrested or dead this is the way it would look after an investigation. the family if released from jail would have had the chance to return and pick up the mess. but in the disarray it is in i believe the family was not able to return and the police boarded it up as evidance and never returned. so the county or city came in and witerized the pipes to keep from the water bursting and the city or county draining the system. on another note the possible answer for the bunnies all over the place could be a childs love for rabbits and the parents allowing it. i dont see how this could be any other way. public record would show and investigation and arrest record if any one knew about the area. it would be easy to find the information everyone is looking for.

Maybe they all died in a car crash? You can go to the local county or city tax assessors office and find out who owned it. Google their name and see what comes up. Most likely it was some tragedy in the news. I would love to hear the story if you can find out.

A house in Sweden had everything in it. Family of five went for a drive never came back. Thinking it must have been sudden because the dinner table was set for a meal.

That actually might be a good theory. Lots of photos to share that this was a family. Holiday items about. That dining table looked set for an evening meal that never came. The electricity was never turned off, because there was nothing to keep the meter turning. So, no accumulating bills to pay and be overdue on. (The meter reader will never notice the few minutes of power used by this date, as they've stopped checking.) This family, whom looks like money was no problem, may very well have taken a trip to see other family members or went on a holiday vacation...only to meet with an untimely end. VHS movies suggest this event may have happened past the late '80s. (I'd have been concerned with all that deteriorating paint as an explorer. Could it be lead based? Possible Asbestos in the walls? I think the RnK crew know what they are doing.) What's got me puzzled is the windows. Most of them are boarded up. If this family's end was sudden, whom took the time to board up the place? Someone also noted the winterized tags. So, somebody cared. If only for the short term. Maybe, after the disaster, there was a family member or two, clinging to life in a hospital. Neighbor took care of the place with hope. But, the survivor(s) never left the hospital. And no final wills or anything were ever processed. Leaving the place to stand abandoned. At first, I thought that maybe they were securing the place for some really bad weather, or something. But, I'm leaning towards a case of holiday cheer, turned sour in a New York Minute. Such places would be like mind practice puzzles for the fabled Sherlock Holmes.

Except that other clues seem to state that money was not an issue. Besides, a foreclosure should have led to an estate auction. I suspect that outside of a caretaker looking over the place for a short while, (boarded up windows) nobody was interested in turning this former estate into pure profit. (Except the obvious looters, whom left the place a mess. These were tidy people.)

Yup my guess is the person paying the bills died or lost their job leaving behind the rest of the family who had money at one time but eventually it ran out and they had to leave. The boarded windows show that at some point a bank took some steps to keep the house safe but it's probably just on a ledger and and after thought for the bank as it's sat on the market for years with no interest.

Ok, i REALLY didn't need the creepy close up on the drummer boy doll! The music creeped me out, along with the house and all that shit. I am convinced that something tragic happened and in a hurry. Last electric bill was paid before the family went on vacation. All the lights left off. Nobody ever came back. Meter didn't turn. Electric company had no debt to justify locking up the main. So...electricity remains.

One of the things that no one seems to notice in these explores are the gorgeous rugs which are covered in dust and grime...and just walked on...I've noticed some of them are possibly very valuable...also many of the toys, especially the dolls look like they would be valuable too.....What a mystery....what a shame...However, great explore!

If there was black mode discovered in the house, they would be told to leave everything because of contamination . It looks like some parts were painted recently and they were restoring the house. I suspect black mold, because it is so contagious it makes it almost impossible to get rid of. I wish you could find out more about the family that lived there. You should wear a mask, great find and blessings to you both.

rainingmoon7 Agree with everyone else suggesting that you wear masks, would also suggest cloves, if you're touching the stuff, the girl should tie up hair, cover clothes or wear same ones for adventure. Washing them each time. If you watch shows on HGTV and Dying, soon as they see mold they make everyone leave the place...you don't want to get sick or bring it to your house!

I understand I’m just being super nosy and in a sense invading someone’s privacy by being so curious... but curiosity killed the cat. Amazing place.
