My god this was a moment!!!! Byrnes Gloria was just so effortlessly cool! And you notice here the difference between her and Phyllis. Alice thought Gloria as the enemy but you see her melting and sorta seeing the real Gloria and not the Gloria Phyllis made her out to be!
@doublefeature4 жыл бұрын
i think the biggest thing is that she sees that Gloria lets everyones voice be heard and count. when Phyllis won't even let them vote.
@lumosn0x4 жыл бұрын
I think this is also the time when Alice notices a different kind of leadership on the floor.
@jessicavictoriacarrillo72544 жыл бұрын
Yeah, is it me or do I get the feeling that Phyllis recruits women she can feel smarter next to? I bet she was probably spitting after Rosemary and Lottie Beth got positions under Reagan (yep they did and she didn't).
@lumosn0x4 жыл бұрын
Jessica Victoria Carrillo I think Phyllis’ group were formed on their own. It just happened that she has a strong personality that even if Rosemary suggested something, she declined the idea to vote in every decision they’ll make while the scenario here that Alice notices is the opposite.
@jessicavictoriacarrillo72544 жыл бұрын
@@lumosn0x I don't sympathize with Rosemary, but I notice that Phyllis seems to her have a habit of shutting her up or belittling her.
@lumosn0x4 жыл бұрын
Jessica Victoria Carrillo yes, I noticed that too. Though I think Rosemary was also smart in her own way, Phyllis was just just overpowering her.

and after they are in the room together, she sees how the ERA works and how everyone has their voice heard and counted. i think that vote alone made Alice reconsidered a lot of things.

This is simply the best scene in the series which has so many brilliant scenes.. just the power and freedom she exudes while the other two want the 'privilege' to be protected forever just encapsulates everything that is to be understood.

It is absolutely BAFFLING to me that Rose Byrne didn't get an emmy nomination, at the very least, for this role. She killed it! And say what you will but this whole clip is about Alice falling in love with Gloria. Hehehe.
