We hear the same and the same pieces again and again. Enough ! We are bored ! Every that could be said from these has been said - there is nothing new to discover any longer. In the contrary, there are many other less known pieces from other composers that deserve our attention. For e.g. the Listz's songs S531 & S532 are in the same musical level as Chopin nocturnes and their recordings are very little. Why no one big name hasn't recorded (let's choose in random) Am Rhein ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoWofIapi9N7r6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/noulnWqeYtSgnLc Isn't the above set of pieces a kaleidoscope of intensions and emotions, like the preludes or the nocturnes ? (in the sense that they have many things that can be discovered on them from an intellectual musician such as Sara Ott.) Why the is no recording of them in DG ?
