@@aidanbutcher8817 I agree! I spent only 6 months there & one Elder I met only cared about what car, house, money & all the other handouts he could his hands on. Put a camera in front of him & acts like a upstanding saint. And unfortunately this sets up generations of gimme gimmies. Its starts & ends with the adults. Not to mention the lucrative juicy government positions & contracts created for all the white fat cats that they give themselves & their buddies up there. It's a bloody joke!

Guess what - its got nothing to do with race. It's all about culture. The family culture with Alice's indigenous people has broken down. These kids are our future and need our support.

Race differences exist, it's naive and ignorant to deny that. A big part of problems in multicultural societies is to not acknowledge difference in IQ, alcohol tolerance etc. Different peoples need different solutions to their respective community issue. Culture is of course playing a part as well, but it is not the sole reason. This is why a homogeneous population works better than a mixed race society. Read "the bell curve" or just think logically.

I worked for tanagera aboriginal surcurity night patrol ten years ago this year.our job was to patrol the streets of Alice Springs and when we seen aboriginal children running around we would pull Up and there was a aboriginal lady also a night patrol officer new every aboriginal language spoken around Australia she was amazing,so we would drive the children back to their community and when we came across intoxicated men or women give them two choices, take them back to their community or take them to a detox unit to sober up and get a free dinner depending what time of day or night it is but they would have a shower and clean clothes and shoes and sleep of their intoxication until early next morning (6)am wake up breakfast call but you can sleep in till (10)am then you have to vacate so the next people can also get the same until the next morning and get the same but the boss lady in the back seat new every aboriginal language Australia wide and we came across a very large aboriginal man that was drunk and going off his nut's at the Coles supermarket staff, and you know why he was going off because all He wanted was a couple of pie's and was refused every single time, and when we arrived, The boss lady in the back seat rolled down the window and New exactly what language He was speaking and talked to him in his language and calmed him down with words I'm going into this supermarket and buying you 4 pie's and cream cakes and soft drinks and He was All back to normal and we drove him to the detox unit until next morning and he received the help with a bus ticket back to western Australia where his family live and bought him snacks like sandwiches and Rolls with the lot in toppings and drove him the next morning to the bus interstate bus terminal to travel from Alice Springs to Adelaide and back to his community western Australia,he said a few words to my boss lady and shook my hand and gave me a hug and said thankyou for your kindness my brother, I'll always remember this day onwards my brother

I think that Alice Springs over time will just become another Wadeye . People who own local businesses, will pull up stumps and say that enough is enough! That causes a large financial cost for them to relocate and it will just leave "Alice" as a town camp. I think that Australia should cecede the top part of WA, NT and QLD to Indonesia (excluding mining rights). Twenty strokes of the rotan would provide a generational correction!

Interesting how in these Alice Springs crime video's, alcohol is is referred to as sum kind of self aware villain. Wen I went to rehab for alcohol and drug abuse, we were taught that being drunk was no excuse and that everything bad that we did was our fault because we chose to take a drink. Maby throwing money at th problem isn't th answer and th word 'disenfranchised' should be changed with 'lack of accountability'?! Or am I being too "racist"? 🤔🙄😒
@RedNiel100

You think it's a coincidence that the violence from a certain group of people in society escalated this much when alcohol was made available? No, it's a sign of great dissatisfacion with how they are being treated. Alcohol doesn't automatically make people violent, the underlying anger has to be there in the first place. "Throwing money at the problem" IS part of the solution, IF it is money well spent. Like on actually making an healthy community and giving the citizens recreational opportunities.

Here we go again with “These People” like they’re specimens 😂 Not sure what your dribbling on about, as I know many Aboriginal people who worked hard all their life, paid taxes, never received any welfare and bought and paid for their own home and cars with absolutely no help or hand up from the Government. Stop being so prejudice and lumping all Aboriginals as bludgers getting Government handouts. You do know there’s more non-indigenous Australians dependant on Centrelink and handouts in this country.

Saying “these people” sounds a very prejudiced comment, like “Us and Them” like they are inferior to you 😳 It’s extremely difficult for anyone to act rational and always be of good behaviour when many are born with a brain injury (FASD) or an alcoholic. How about blaming the Government too for creating this societal problem, through white man forced assimilation policy in the 50’s/60’s and all the well paid Government ministers and social service providers on my tax payer dollars, who have done absolutely nothing realistic to deliver appropriate services to fix these ongoing issues after all these years. It obviously appears the continual neglect and failings of Aboriginal Australians is Governments strategy of keeping themselves relevant and employed.

Real power has to be given to the leaders with a complex myriad mix of interventions that are guided and regulated by the leaders. Then they have to be listened to as to what they want to give their kids for the future and supplied by the government , then enforced by the leaders with accountability ; just like their tribal customs dictate. It's a complicated issue that needs long term and short term goals.

The Critics of the Voice to Parliament across Australia are in no way starting a culture war. You Mr. Prime Minister are the one who is starting the culture war if a culture war is starting at all in Australia. In your National Cabinet room you have three flags posted in a display for to all see across all of the media. Now Mr. Albanese kindly visit those three flags in your National Cabinet room and immediately uproot the aboriginal identity flag posted in the middle of the flag assembly wherein the Australian flag has been outcasted to left in that flag assembly. The middle position in a flag assembly and especially in the Australian peoples parliament is the command position only for the Australian Flag and no other flag has the power or status to usurp the Australian Flag 🇦🇺 from being posted in the middle position in a flag assembly. The Aboriginal flag and the Torres Strait Islands flag are only citizens flags. These two flags are not formal flags. These two flags don’t even have a formal right to be posted in the parliament but are both unreservedly welcomed into the parliament as a mark of respect. The aboriginal citizens identity flag has no legal right or status to usurp the middle position of the Australian flag in the Australian parliament. Now Mr. Albanese. Get moving and place the Australian flag back into its command position in every flag assembly posted throughout the Australian parliament. And be reminded that you are the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia and are definitely not the Prime Minister of the Republic of Australia which does not exist. Mr.Treasurer! You are next because you are doing exactly the same thing with the assembly of your three flags in your treasurer’s office. 🇦🇺🦘

Stolen generation kids are offered 100k compensation which is less than what those taxpayers are considering requesting for some very tough business years. Amazing how they feel it’s their right to be compensated yet stolen gen babies are offered an insulting amount of 100k for having their whole family, lives and identity stolen from them. Their issues run their entire lives and as the wife of a stolen gen baby, I would love to sue for my pain and suffering too. For that of my kids. There doesn’t seem to be any real recognition from the govt for its wrongs and damage caused. They are both such enormous issues and issues are relative to each person’s circumstance. Perhaps the taxpayers should measure their deserving level of compensation relative to the 100k scale that stolen generations are being told they are deserving of for all they have lost. If 100k is the maximum amount per claim then the scale would be very interesting and rather affordable for the govt to use. I don’t wish for any of the Alice Community to suffer however the dollars being suggested just upset me. I hope once kids are back at school things can settle down and real change can be made to improve everyone’s lives.

The Aboriginal people are the most beautiful people on Earth. They lived in harmony with the Land for forty to seventy THOUSAND years. There is a yearning.
