About 3 years ago, I was battling depression. I would go days without sleeping, I wasn’t eating, I was hurting myself and I was just a mess. I had my suicide planned, and just needed an opportunity. Until I found out that a few months out, Alice Cooper would be having a concert in my town. I had never seen him live, and I had a sudden revelation: was I really going to die before I got to see Alice Cooper in concert? Silly as it sounded, that was my reality check. I called into a crisis line, got information for a local psychiatrist, and soon got into therapy and was put on medication. I got to see Alice in concert, I’m a junior in college and on the way to my first major internship, and, well, I’m alive. So, in a way, Alice Cooper saved my life. I hope that one day I get to meet him so I can tell him this personally.

Depression, anxiety, PTSD are all REAL and should be treated. Its NOT weakness. I have my own demons and wear my Saint Dymphna medal every day to remind me of those who continue to suffer. I've seen too many people lose their battle. Or as my father said, apply a "permanent solution to a temporary problem". God bless you young lady. Im NOT Alice Cooper but I wish you all the best in the world and ill tell ya from personal experience......this life DOES get a Little easier (not much but a little) after you have stared into the void......puts stuff into perspective. Stay safe.

Absolutely. Im a recovering addict and through out my journey through recovery I listened to this often. Watching it now, having been almost 3 years clean, with a CDCA degree, two beautiful baby girls and a wonderful husband, I look back on those days and it's literally like looking at a whole different world. It's almost like a am a whole new human being and in a way, I am. Recovery isn't just about sobriety. It's about changing your whole way of life, coping, thinking, everything. It's like a total factory reset on a phone lol. But it's a beautiful thing. Alice has always been a huge inspiration to me seeing as how he is a recovering addict as well. Ive seen him live 5 times and each time is better than the next. He's out lived, out Shined, and out done every single one of the greats who also fell victim to addiction. It takes a very strong soul to do that. Especially when it's everywhere like it was with him. Being able to stay sober as a celebrity is harder than anything I imagine. You hardly have any reason to quit. No worries about homelessness, no worries about money, dope sickness, jail time, nothing. He had every reason to be able to keep using and still he fucking beat addiction with flying colors 😄🥰

Cooper has always been far out there and he was an alcoholic for year's, but his wife helped him by loving him and he realized he was an addict. He's been a recovering alcoholic for many years. He did this song in his own way to help others realize they too need to admit their addiction, and do something about it.

I have been through alot, just like every other person on the planet I suppose, but this song has helped so much during the darkest times. I just wanna say that Alice Cooper is a real treasure of a rock star. Now I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. But really, thank you for this song haha. Nothing stops bad intentions like Alice calling ya stupid and telling you there are better ways. Thank you Mr Cooper

Great song from a superb album, and it isn't even that old! Early nineties I think, i.e. long after Alice's classic time. I like the positive mood in many of the songs, not as depressed as most other nineties rock like grunge etc.

❤Guys the bible tells us more people go too hell than heaven if you live in sin and don't repent you won't be saved and god doesn't send people to hell if they go too hell they go of free choice! Hell was made for the devil and his angels you should watch billy garham give your life to Jesus we are in the last days and Jesus loves you and he shedded blood on that cross without the shedding of blood sin cannot be forgiven and sin is very serious in the eyes of god I was depressed to and sinned for fun I had suicidal thoughts I remember in my room one night I told god that of things don't change I'm gonna kms I was sorry weak and at sometimes so weak I felt like I was dying then I remember a really good day came a day I loved so much and wanted more of so on that same day I remember saying god, I'm just gonna trust you and when you try to do something right the devil attacks you so the next day was horrible I don't wanna say how it was it was just horrible! I stayed strong BC after so long of trying to go to anything else but god they all failed me so I held on to god as the reason let me skip to now and say I started off faithless now I'm so faithful in god I started off worried for my future now I know its something gods gonna handle I'm not feeling depressed anymore the whole year of 2022 was hard but with god I made it threw! Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO! Is that Joe Satriani ?
@lordmatthewlukeobrien11 ай бұрын
@@davidfuller4110Yes it is Joe, and the crazy part about revisiting this album after I switched from bass too guitar as a result of Joe and "Surfing with the alien" only to learn Joe and Steve Vai played on it was one of the craziest discoveries of My teenage years playing guitar. Perhaps it was this video which subconsciously planted the seed for My love of Ibanez JS guitars which I only discovered 5 years or so later? In revisiting this video only to see Ozzy doing backup vocals 30 years later, I guess the message of this song is to choose life over death if only to spite the "They" this song refers to as who else could discover such a thing and realise that I am only 1 degree of separation from the Sabbath legends as a result of My Dad being born in Birmingham and how I have shaken hands with both Joe and Steve in the course of My life who both contributed to this incredible album. I guess My reptilian creator Snakebite(byte) actually does have some love for Me which makes dealing with the haters and the fact that the "Me" who "lives in a video" as technology has reached the stage where I and My human avatar can be digitally inserted into any "video" ever recorded by Man as I can be deepfaked, cloned and replicated as can anyone else. In saying this, whilst the value of life and the identity of the individual has been relegated to be worthless as a result of there being no scarcity, no differentiation between people and their lives. As a time capsule of that preteen period of My life when I was naive and innocent, with dreams, hopes and aspirations of a future where I could live out My dream life as opposed to letting the video version of Me live the dream life I gave him only for Me to get sent to Hell as a prisoner of finances and other's agendas, at least this song and video with it's practical effects serves as a historical reminder of what society once had, yet was lost, all as a result of the internet and technology allowing humans to become Gods of information only to have stupidly rendered themselves to be irrelevant in the process.

@@crummybunny777We exist in a world whereby God has allowed the Devil to corrupt His daughters as they sell themselves & their bodies to strange men for money, material goods and even drugs such that they have become the one's on "that stuff" aka intravenous needles containing drugs as they lay around with a crippled broken heart whilst gangs of bikies and other criminal organisations and gangs go about the task of initiating the female members via having them get r@ped by the entire gang as they imbue their soulless standards upon others whilst relegating the pricelessness and value of one's body and sex to be completely worthless beyond it being used as a tool thru which demonic maggots that are these gang members can imply control and assert a position of dominance and a culture pervaded by fear.
