Heard and saw so much about the Stoppel Cane and actually made a few. Now I get to see the creator's video! So happy that you developed this cane as I love it and you never know what great effects you will get. Thanks for sharing your imaginative creation with us all.

Watching 2 videos of your Stroppel Cane I can emphatically say I am addicted. I see so many uses for it in a line of Tribal Jewelry I want to make. I have some of your black and white drawings of the "ladies" which I got from you a couple of years ago and I have loved them included in jewelry. Thank you for sharing with us! Totally awesome.

I must say this is really nice of you for sharing it, I'm hearing some ppl have problems for using dark cane in there project and I tought It'll be also nice to use a thin white (or any other color that you think will look nice) for the cane to come between, and you could even alternate the color, while keeping the bottom and top layer the same color for when you attach the slices side by side. you could even lay white between 2 blacks an thin it out to use as the basic layers. Thanks & greets.

LOVE the idea! I'm just starting to look into this craft, and I hate watching all those scraps just get tossed aside in the videos! What if you rolled up one thin layer like a jelly roll and used it like a traditional rolled cane? Just a thought. THANKS!

@KagooKaty Thanks Mila and Kagoo. Kagoo, This is deli paper but now I use the deli wrap that is clear plastic. The kind your cold cuts are wrap in when you get them for the deli.

Hi, Alice, I started out using a toaster oven years ago, but I have switched to using a Turkey Roaster(electric) that has a temperature setting on it. I find I can cure larger pieces in it, and the temperature does not spike like a toaster oven. Portable enough to take with me to a class....I love my Electric Turkey Roaster.

I'm relatively new to this art and loving every moment. This is a BRILLIANT video - thanks. Just one thing, what kind of 'paper' are you saving your scraps on; looks like it doesn't leach at all?
