I can't stand it when an audience just sits still when they should be into the music!!! I even had a person sitting still next to me @ a show complaining about the vibration caused by my feet hitting the (carpeted) floor to the music! I am told that people want to watch the performance and not be distracted by dancing or moving to the beat. Whatever!! I would have been out of my seat jamming to Alicia!! 😸

What made this song so great was the Sax solo by Jay Carrington Scott from a little town called Dothan, Alabama. He was the most talented sax player of all time. He was a "studio musician" when this was recorded. He has gone on to play in the big band in Heaven, but would like to see him remembered. So many musicians never get recognized for their part of truly making a song memorable. Play on Jay!
