I love your covers, they are quality, but your original material is stellar too! Just some very humble advice from an old guitar player and music fan, if you want to really be taken seriously, concentrate on your own songs, and push them to the forefront of what you are doing. To say this was remarkable, is not sufficient enough. Much more than that, this is quite special indeed. Another cover of a difficult song that you made sound easy. I am a big fan of this performance. With that confirmed, the song is about a specific moment in life. It could be about loss or the happy moment that defines your life ahead. That depends on the interpretation of the artist and the viewer. I see the loss. Which is amazing as a performance, but how many people have torn away from a beautiful woman who loved them and been crushed by the sentiment of this song? I am married to a wonderful, loving, beautiful woman whom I love. A few days ago, she innocently asked me a question that brought me back to younger time in another life. The road and traffic in front of me melted into a watery blur that my windshield wipers couldn't solve. I tried to hide my reaction at first, maybe just to be manly? Fortunately, she understood. But now this performance takes me right back to that moment so many years ago! :) To those who DO connect to this song as a hopeful, new life presenting itself... I am jealous.
