This song is one of my favorites by Alicia Keys. Her "speech" at the end calling the guy is classic. I was single years ago and that as a man, I appreciate how vulnerable she is when she makes the call to ask him out. That is real stuff that guys who like someone often feel. I wish I had understood then that women are just as nervous as men when it comes to relationships. Even though I am married now, I look back and appreciate how hard it must be to be single today and how hard it can be to express romantic interest to someone without fully knowing what the response will be.
