As cool as this is and I do thing it was the intention in the story I will say this is one thing that slightly doesn't make sense later on. Ymir has autonomy and choice now to build for whoever she wants yet she is still building the bodies for the titan shifters that try to stop Eren despite her choosing eren. Im an anime only though so Im not sure.

@@yum8666 I can understand the confusion but Ymir dousnt have the founding titan anymore... The reason she appeared at the co-ordinate after she died but no other titan shifters do, even if they have the founder, is because you need to have the founding titan and royal blood to COMMAND Ymir, now that she's free she's given the power to Eren, hence why we saw the weird spine thing connect to weeks severed head. Not sure if you've read the manga so I won't go into spoilers but in the anime Eren's already said he's allowing the other shifters to keep and use there abilities because taking them would be denying them freedom.

Nice to finally see a reactor get the enormity of the scene where it shows Ymir sculpting the titans by hand and bucket. Thinking how she spent the equivalent of hundreds-of-thousands or even millions of years slowly building titans and even the ramps needed by handfuls of sand is utterly insane. The greatest character growth of any MC. Eren really went from "I'm gonna exterminate all the titans from this world" In the pilot episode to " I'm gonna exterminate all the humans from this world" 😂😂😂. Also another interesting fact. The pilot was titled "to you, 2000 years into the future" and this episode was called "from you, 2000 years in the past". It's basically messages sent between Ymir and eren. Ymir send a letter to eren in the first ep from two thousand years ago. And eren finally receives it in this episode

@@datwee7576 I never believed that the Rumbling was a good thing, but it was necessary. The world had been fed with Marley propaganda for centuries, and that bastard Tybur roused the rest of the world to join together in order to deal with the "devils of Paradis" once and for all. A diplomatic resolution wouldn't work. Using the Colossal Titans to defeat only the invasion force wouldn't work. Destroying only Marley wouldn't work. In order for the people of Paradis to truly live in freedom and peace, the anti-Eldian hatred had to be erased. And Eren decided to kill everyone that was, or could someday become, a threat to Paradis.

I love how Grisha's regret for how he raised Zeke has such a strong parallel with Annie's relationship with her father - and you see many other similar dynamics throughout season 4: Gabi's commander and his genuine care for the warrior kids despite putting them through hell and raising them into monsters, Sasha's father on how they encouraged Sasha to hunt and become a soldier only to ultimately take innocent lives across the sea and be shot for it, you even see it in the kid Mikasa saved only to grow up a fanatic soldier just like her. You see everywhere where the previous generation is fundamentally responsible for continuing the cycle of hatred and violence, and they only ever come to regret it when it's far too late.

Because time is instant and infinite in The Paths, every time any Founding Titan or Titan Shifter turned into their titan, or someone was injected with spinal fluid and became a titan, in that moment the Founder Ymir would spend the time it would take to build their titan bodies like a sand castle, BY HAND. In that instant she would experience as many years as it would take to create a titan body and then send it to them through the tree. Every second in the real world can be stretched out to years in The Paths, and she spent all of it alone, as a slave, building an endless army of monsters. For 2000 years where every second lasts for years, she was there suffering for an eternity. The part of her spirit that became the Attack Titan, the part of her that wanted to be free of her enslavement made its way through time all the way to someone who could finally reunite it with her, and set her free. The opening scene in the first episode of the first season "To You, 2000 Years in the Future - The Fall of Shinganshina" was Ymir's message being sent to Eren. This episode is Eren's reply back to Ymir; "From you, 2000 Years Ago".

Ok so as an anime only person I can now finally espouse my OWN crackhead theories without spoiling anything XD To me based on this episode it seems like the Nine Titans in particular embody some aspect of Ymir's Titan or personality or both, for example the Colossal Titan being the biggest most destructive Titan, the Founding Titan being her enslavement to Fritz and the royal family. BUT, my theory is the Attack Titan is Ymir's suppressed desire for vengeance. Unconsciously, Ymir set the entire future in motion when she created the Attack Titan with the ability to see into the future and thus essentially she created the future. This is what Eren alludes to when he says "Are you the one who led me here?" as it was her Attack Titan that created the future in which he came here to start the Rumbling.

This has never been explained so it's all expeculation but IMO, the Attack Titan was created with Ymir's hope for freedom. It's the only Titan that doesnt obey the royal blood and can do whatever it wants to do. Ymir probably made it with the hope of being freed one day.

People say Eren's attack titan doesn't resemble him at all unlike other titan shifters. But oh boi S4 Eren looks exactly like him and it has that evil look to justify the demon that is born to bring wrath to the world. It had been hinted all along since season 1!

-Not a spoiler- A little info on that thing that attached itself to Ymir: the centipede is based on an ancient animal called "hallucigenia". Hallucigenia is one of the first multi-cellular animals known to man and it was found in an paleontology site know as burgess shale, which is is filled with animals from the cambrium, the time period where multicellular animals first appeared. My personal interpretation of the whole thing is that this thing is supposed to be the origin of all life or a manifestation of concept life itself and that's why it can alter lifeforms the way it does. Not only did it change ymir but that tree it lived in was also way different from all the other trees
@mordirit8727
@mordirit8727 Жыл бұрын
I like to think that Hallu-chan was the reason multicelular life exists in AoT's world; maybe it touched single celular organisms and gave them the power to grow bigger, turning them into multicelular creatures. Eventually it attached itself to a tree, making it grow a fkton bigger than natural, and stayed there. But when you give that power of "growing bigger" to an already multicelular animal instead of just a plant, now you get titans.

I always like to mention it. 12:32 This is literally mutated- oversized Hallucigenia. Normally she would have size of a small finger, but this one was big enough to connect with Ymir's spinal core. 😉Great reaction. 😃

The worm thing is based on the Hallucigenia believed to be one of the first living creature in our world theres only 9 titans as its based on Norse myth as the 9 Realms like the tree/coordinate which is Yggdrasil the tree of life also Ymir is the name of the origin giant whom Odin slayed to create the 9 realms from the body parts very similar to AoT cannibalism isnt it? as a fan of Norse myth when Ymir name was shown in this show of Titans i instantly felt something connecting there

The implication is that Ymir built every single Titan. Every time Eren transformed, Ymir built the Titan. When Eren was healed, that was Ymir. She was building Titans in the Coordinate and following the orders of the Founder for 2,000 years. She had been a slave this whole time. Eren freed her. He let her choose for the first time ever.

Think about how many times everyone transformed. It took Ymir on the otherside years to build them, but was seconds for everyone else to see em pop up. I can't imagine how long it takes to build a colossal titan, and she built milllions. Oh Also you're good now to watch the OP.

Zeke, Ksaver and the whole Fritz/Reiss families had the whole power of the Founder wrong. Everyone thought that someone of Royal Blood had some kind of special power that lets them use the Founder to be a literal Titan God who can do whatever they want, but that was never the case. Ymir was always the one who chose, she just had some terribly terribly deep trauma that made her a slave to anyone bearing a resemblance to her master when she was alive. There was nothing inherently more powerful in Zeke's words to Ymir than in Eren's. Eren just made her realize she could choose, and she chose him instead of going on with her 2.000 years of slavery.

The ova titan with the tree only knows the fake ymir, not the real one. You can see the resemblance between the titan and one of the fake ymir worshippers, the one who told ymir to declare that she is the real ymir when they got raided.

So yes, Yumir is his servant, a masochist of the king, even when she possesses power like the gods, she still loves the king and follows him despite his enslavement to her, and when she sacrificed her life for him before she died, she heard him speak like this, so she lost her will to live Despite being able to heal herself and being the Foundation she was trapped in the tracks all this time ....I hope I was able to convey the information despite my bad English

I wonder if Ymir was afraid of freedom because she linked it with gouging her eye, hunting her & drowning? therefore choose slavery as a lesser hurting path! (She also had no family to defend her) Plus she only wanted to be "loved" & family, sadly she chose a King with no mercy whatsoever!!!! such a foolish naive girl.

It's an easy mistake to make bc the show doesn't give clear guidance on it, but the conflicts shown in this episode between Eldia and Marley are *not* the Great Titan War. As explained in "That Day", "Declaration of War", and "Solve Salvation" the Great Titan War happened after ~1800-1900 years of Eldian domination using the Power of the Titans. At that point factionalism between families holding the Nine Titans began the war and Marley was able to win it through the Tybur families deal with 145th King Fritz which Willy Tybur revealed to the world before explaining how the deal no longer kept the world safe from the Rumbling because of Eren's usurpation of the Founding Titan. This is where this 2,000 year history of hate has lead.
