I'm guessing the reason it's forbidden is because the technique brings the target closer to the nature of the material in some sense, if they used goats or pigs, the targets would become more goat or pig-like, and the only way to circumvent that would be to use people, so I can see why it would be forbidden, I suspect Falin may show more interest in shinies in the future

Manga completionist back again here, and I am BEATING MYSELF IN THE HEAD REAL HARD to keep my trap shut about anything that could be clued in from this episode, just know that we're going places. I can't even go with 'All I can say is..' because that's too leading as well... nrhgh! just-- glad we've reached this point, and there's definitely one more to go, but they are out of their MINDS if they don't keep going after this, there's still like 3/4s of a story to go! As to the episode details, I do love the presentation of the ancient magic, and the whole process there, it's a cool episode with some great moments AND Senshi finally achieving his dream from the first chapter. Very cool (and lovely) detail of Marcille double-checking her work too, just in case. Just because its magic doesn't make it perfect. >,< Kensuke puttin' em up was real cute though, like "C'mon, bring it in, tough guy! I got a mean right hook! Kick the CRAP outta ya, let's go!" and yeah, we can't talk about all that Senshi grundle on display, but Marci and Falin touch hands for a sec-- *LEBBBSIAAAAANN!* C'mon~
