you should try the dub on this one its genuinely good, most things hit way harder when i heard it in english for me as a non japenesse speaking and i normally hate dubs. for me just like cowboy bebop its a watch the dub show. also the first few episodes didnt really interest me at the start either but after a while i got into it i binged the whole thing.

I hyperfixate on languages, and as a result I speak 2 languages at native level (English and Japanese) and a third at intermediate level (still studying it, it's Spanish). It's so fun learning languages, as the concept of language itself fascinates me so much. So I relate to Laios's love of monsters.

It is a slow burn in the beginning, lacking that kind of strong hook like Frieren, but like all the best meals, when you let it cook for a while, the mundane ingredients combine together and absorb the deliciousness in the sauce of worldbuilding and the end result is a masterpiece.
