I used to listen to listen to music but alhamdullillah, I have stopped. I had trouble focusing on my prayers because of music. You know when you have a song stuck in your head, that'd happen to me during salah. Here I am trying to pray towards Allah, but there's this stupid song playing in the back of my head. It was very distracting and I'd constantly forget which rakah I was up to. Alhamdullillah, ive given up on music and all Muslims should do the same.

Stay away.. avoid...dont do it.. refrain.. now, ur talking about how u personaly deal with challenges like remembering rakah during salah. u should say Al hamdu lillah because Allah swt made it easy for u. Now, there is a reason why music was told to avoid it bec it has many effects. Some people are affected easily, and some dont. I can avoid avoid alcohol easily cuz i dont even like the smell of it so its easy for me to avoid it. But there are people who cannot live without alcohol so that is their jihad.. Like Music, this bro here and i will include myself too that we used to be deluded with the world of music. I used to be a dancer (jahiliya days) and Zumba instructor so music is the very essence cuz i cant dance without music. Did it affect me? YES! and i dont want to go to details how it did but it was totally out of what a mu'mineen should live... It wasnt easy at first avoiding music but Al hamdu lillah i despise it. I turned my back from it and it made it easy for me to listen to Quran, or read quran or study it... Doesnt mean it works for u it will be easy for others. But what is important is a BELIEVER will struggle and overcome it to please Allah azza wa jal.

I hadn't seen one of Khalid's videos in a long time but I knew that in his previous videos he would add vocal effects. I saw that he uploaded a video about Sufi music and decided to click on it. I was surprised because he didn't use music, supposedly, in his videos. When I saw the video and saw the shirk that he was dancing to, I was startled. I'm sure he didn't understand what was being said but I was still startled by him dancing to the music. Music is clearly NO. No debate. Those who submit fully will benefit in full - this is as equal sin as alcohol! Here is ONE very clear verse of the Quran which forbid the Muslims from indulging into music. "So abstain from the pollution of the idols and abstain from false vain words." (22:30). ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَاتِ اللَّـهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ The Arabic word "Zoor" has several meanings which include falsehood and the musical expressions. According to Imam Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.s.) "pollution of the idols" means Chess and "Vain words" means music. See how ‘Music’ has been joined in this Ayat with the pollution of idols", only then you can appreciate the seriousness of the sin of Music.

This is exactly what happened to fouseytube and Adam saleh. They started off their channel by doing Muslim skits and having their channel be very Muslim oriented, but as soon as they started to get more subscribers and views they also started to change. This is very common, not everyone can handle the KZbin fame and the amount of followers you have. They will start to do whatever the people say to do rather than looking into Islam and seeing if it's even permissible or not. Allah swt says "by remembrance of Allah the heats find peace" but from my experience of music i have been so much enslaved by music to the point that not listening to it makes me depressed (i am talking about classic calm music), even though the material i was listening to did not have any form of shirk in it but still it created a barrier between me and the book of Allah to the point that when i am listening to the quran my nafs is constantly fighting so hard and is asking me to stop the recitation and play the music. i am still recovering from that experience and by Alla's will i will defeat the addiction. but for people who are not yet enslaved by it i advise you to stay away from it.

A bit selfish you don't want to make money believe it or not. If indeed you didn't want to make money you can still turn on the ads habibi and donate all that you make. It's better then that money being made to someone else doing haram. There are people who aren't fortunate like yourself and also aren't fortunate to have such a reach. Which can turn that into money that can help those in need. You aren't doing haram by making money spreading the good word. I think it is just a bombastic and kind of arrogant thing to also keep bringing it up. It's Like back biting Muslims who have ads on in heir videos, like myself. It is no different than bragging about donating. No harshness akhi just some advice. You can feed many kids with the potential money you could have been making. Karim, "selfish" isn't the right word. I actually think he's one of the very few people on KZbin that choose not to make a penny. Given, almost 100,000 subscribers, he can very well do so. Perhaps arrogant but I think he has the right to be. When everyone else (not saying you), but when most people have transformed this platform into a revenue making-machine as opposed to curating genuine content these days. I think his point was that he chooses to spread his messages without the trade-off of making revenue. But you're also right that maybe he can consider the idea of accepting money to donate. I understand both perspectives and there's nothing wrong with making money off KZbin either. Only think it's inaccurate to call him "selfish".

one thing I feel for sure, it feel so contradictive when I listen to music after praying and riciting quran. feels not right. feels like, when you try to commit healthy diet, eat a lot of vegetable, fruit, fish, milk, etc, then suddenly you go to fastfood restaurant and fill your stomach with unhealthy stuffs.

Asalamualaikam, JazakAllah Kheir for making this video highlighting the issues. I personally watch Khalids content and agree that he's a great brother masha'Allah with great iklaaq (manners) and character. I feel like there is confusion around his channel and this causes controversy. Yes he is a Muslim and a youtuber. He puts out Dawah content and his main Audience is Muslims. He also makes a number of challenge videos and I think this reaction video was in that part of the channel. He doesn't understand the languages which were being sang in and to him it had no meaning as it will to anyone listening to isn't Pakistani. I did comment under that particular video explaining what was being said etc and my stance on it. It's like a Pakistani person reacting to polish music. We don't understand it so can't take responsibility for what's being said. However I agree that if you have a public platform and following then it's your job to do your research. We can't accuse him of Shirk as he didn't know what they were saying. The bit about him listening to music however or promoting it is very clear. I feel that our human nature makes us do something more if we are backed into a corner or told not to do it. It shouldn't be that way but Shaitan tells us this stuff daily. I pray that we can support brother Khaled through the decision to remove it and continue to support him as well as other Muslim youtubers towards steadfastness. May Allah SWT bless you all

Please advise the brother privately & please don't expose anyone's sins or shortcomings on such a huge platform. He may never have intended to cause disrespect to anyone, especially on the grounds of Islam. Explain yourself to no one other than him and give him an excuse for where he went wrong rather than publicise his faults. If he is clean at heart which you said was apparent in his character he will respectfully accept your advice and naturally ponder on your words. You may have also intended correctly, but I do believe your method of clarification was wrong. Pull the music out for being wrong by all means but don't slash a brother on social sites like this. You are mistaken about the Qur'an. There are 3 words in Arabic for music and none are mentioned in Qur'an: "musiqa, ghina, ma'azif." There are two verses that are used against music. One of these is Qur'an 31:6 condemns those who prefer idle word play and in the tafsiir this is considered to refer to "singing" and in Tafsir of Ibn Abbas "mathematics" is also considered impermissible as well as singing. Tafsir of Mujaheed also includes playing the drum as haram. But even Mujaheed (who was a student of Ibn Abbas) said that this prohibition is not on all music. Anyway, this is a long debate and there are evidences on both sides of the argument. As far as I'm concerned I'm disappointed that a Muslim is publicly admonishing a fellow Muslim. It adds to fitnah and the fact that you have not fully researched the matter (from the other point of view) is disappointing.

I still don't quite get why this video had to be public? Islam teaches us to consider many things before advising someone. You have to purify your intentions, avoid making judgments, have knowledge on the topic, and MAINTAIN PRIVACY. This is a comment from non muslim in khaled siddque's video that had qawali shirk dudes in them, this is from a non muslim '' Hello Mr. Kaled, as someone who is learning about Islam and trying to become a Muslim, I found this video to be very confusing to see coming from an Islam-oriented channel. Now I'm not going to go on here and say music is haram and all that, because I'm not an authority in Islam in ANY way. But I do know that Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said that there would be many divisions and denominations of Islam to appear, and that only the ones who hold true to the true and original path from God are the ones who will prosper. And Sufi-ism is indeed a division/denomination of Islam is it not? So why promote it? Anyone can believe what they want, thats fine. But I think a Muslim channel as yours shouldn't be promoting different divisions in Islam, especially because Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) certainly didn't promote them. Just my thoughts on the matter. I like your channel a lot :)

Yes verbal singing of Hamd or naat is allowed , in which one praises Allah SWT , but no instruments except a "Dafli" is allowed , I can prove this by Sahih Ahadith Sahih Bukhari Hadith no. 952 Narrated Aisha: Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said protestingly, Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah's Apostle ! It happened on the `Id day and Allah's Apostle said, O Abu Bakr! There is an `Id for every nation and this is our `Id. Sahih Bukhari 5147 Narrated Ar-Rabi`: (the daughter of Muawwidh bin Afra) After the consummation of my marriage, the Prophet came and sat on my bed as far from me as you are sitting now, and our little girls started beating the tambourines and reciting elegiac verses mourning my father who had been killed in the battle of Badr. One of them said, Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow. On that the Prophet said, Leave this (saying) and keep on saying the verses which you had been saying before. Sahih Muslim 2061 A'isha reported: Abu Bakr came to see me and I had two girls with me from among the girls of the Ansar and they were singing what the Ansar recited to one another at the Battle of Bu'ath. They were not, however, singing girls. Upon this Abu Bakr said: What I (the playing of) this wind instrument of Satan in the house of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and this too on 'Id day? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Abu Bakr, every people have a festival and it is our festival (so let them play on).

I've not done my part in studying this as I should but from what I've always understood and heard: 1) It is not the human voice but specifically the use of certain musical instruments. 2) Some weddings do have "haram" music and people do other things they consider sins as well. There are also people that have weddings and abstain from playing music (usually people who do not listen to music in their daily lives).

I've seen other videos like this. I agree. I had no need to know about his relationship with the other guy and why he stopped collaborating or whatever. This leaves me wondering if I just fell into a trap and did something bad for _my_ soul/book of deeds.

Man, it must be difficult to be a youtuber... you get sooo much praise and sooo much criticism at the same time! May Allah swt keep your intentions sincere Ali. For those of us who do not listen to music, we still have to make effort to avoid vocal nasheeds that resemble music. I have listened to some, and your heart gets hardened and it does not draw you close to Allah. It also makes it harder for you to go back to listening (or reciting) qur'an. I have struggled a lot with that. I think that qur'an is like water and some nasheeds are like sugary soda... you can't drink it over and over and expect to be healthy. I have found that Mishary nasheeds are very peaceful (ya Razzaq, Jahran, etc.) and do not conflict with qur'an, when listened to in moderation. May Allah swt make it easy for us. Salaam.
