I find that 6 sheet TN’s work best if I’m doing full page photos and embellishments, so I pull out sheets from the center of my notebook at the very beginning. This leaves me space for 11 double page spreads. If I need a second book, I make one with the sheets I pulled out of the first one.

One way to help with the distortion of the bulk is to not work exactly front to back. Alternate some between working in the front and then in the back, although this does make going chronologically difficult. Also if you cut the pages a little narrower and not go right up to the seam, that helps too. Love all your spreads though, simple can be fun!

This is good info for the beginning of my summer TN. How about a few pages mixed in between all the bulk that are just handwritten journaling and/or stamping?! I’ve also seen people adhere a couple pages together instead of using every page. 🤷‍♀️ Still learning/experimenting myself…

I was wondering about the bulk as well. This TN is beautifully stitched so the idea of gluing some pages together might work the best. I'm eight double-page spreads in, so if I glue a few pages in the middle, I think it will all work out. At the end of the summer, I plan to add some sort of closure to help keep it closed. I'm so enjoying the process whereby nothing feels overwhelming and it is easy to stay up to date.

I’d re-bind a notebook this bulky. Pull the staples out, pierce some new holes, and see together with a pamphlet stitch.

I take out some pages if it’s getting to bulky OR I take it completely apart and put the pages into a Citrus Twist album (because they fit perfectly into the album).

Oh, I love this. What I do with extra pages that will make the notebook to fat, is glue two pages together, do another spread or two, then do it again. More than 12 or 15 spreads will make it too fat. Love what you did with the circles.

Very cool. Love both of your insert ideas in this TN. Can't wait to see what your take will be on adding a transparency and a modified pocket page of some kind (hint hint hint lol).

Yes the insert definitely gets bulkier. You could abandon the insert or at the end you can pull the staples or current binding and create a larger cover to hide the bulk and rebind it.

Awesome spreads as usual. Love the idea of cutting down the map page. Genius!! Keep the inspirations coming:) So excited for your travel class! Thank you!

I usually remove the staples and a bonding with some cross stitch thread. Large needle is helpful. It’s a great one too give a set of stories one single space together.

Im loving this album Ali and I loved how you embellished the circle paper that looked amazing. We get the beautiful blue skies all year round but they are stunning through winter.

I would reconstruct the notebook when i start the next one. So there won't be excess pages in the back when it's reaches its full bulkiness. Then make a second notebook with the extra pages..if that makes sense

When I work in a TN where I'm going to be pasting in a lot of photos and ephemera, I see how bulky it is when I get about 1/4 through. If it's already getting very bulky, I open up the staple in the middle and remove some pages before I continue. You can just gently pry them open and just press them back down with a butter knife. I save the extras and eventually make a new TN insert with the leftovers. Sometimes I just remove about half of the pages from the middle before I even start. I'd rather have 2 manageable inserts than one that is totally bursting at the seams.

I'm new to your channel and I'm binge watching. Do you happen to have a video about printing the pictures that you glue into your books? What is the best paper to use? Do you have any other advice about the pictures? Luv your channel and your products.

Loving this inspiration, really beautiful and yes to slower living ... so much peace and gratefulness comes with those slow & still moments. Silly Supply question: What kind of photo paper do you use? The quality looks really amazing. I currently use canon photo paper.
