Their mistake was getting popular with a one hit wonder which was a cover so nobody cared to check out their album lol. That's what happened, the only other song they were known for was movies.

That bassist is just so fantastic. Not only does he write awesome bass riffs and such (Though i am aware this in particular is a cover) but he can play, sing, dance and use his eyebrows all at once. That's brilliant.

For anyone wondering why AAF is so Star-Spangled-out in this performance, this was 6 weeks after the September 11 attacks. Side note: This song was also on Clear Channel Communications' (now iHeartMedia) memo of songs that stations were discouraged against playing in the wake of 9/11.

More like early-mid 2000's.. They got popular when metal started gaining new traction again.. People forget from like 1992 the rest of the decade metal was almost a dead genre and metal guitars were seen as so uncool.. Pantera for the most part was all of popular metal in the mid to late 1990's...

@@mediumvibesonly7974 Oh man I made this comment like a decade ago, lol. My guess would be that AAF borrowed some of 311's gear for this performance. I believe AAF opened for 311 during this era? But I am not sure. This is just a guess. But it would make sense.

I've scrolled through all these comments to see if anyone else noticed the 311 cab's. I've seen AAF play with 311 a couple times throughout the years so he must of borrowed them for that performance.

This was a hell of a live performance. I've only seen a handful of bands go out there and do exactly what you hear on played live and Alien Ant Farm is one of them.

Damn good cover. These guys have been way too underrated for the past 2 decades. Probably one of the more lively acts Leno ever had booked on his show, normally most of the alternative and nu-metal groups would end up on Letterman instead. Great performance. Thanks for posting!
