Each Mini-Movie is crafted so well. I say "crafted" because each, ALIEN Anthology series episode is so carefully worked out. Even the actors, seem completely invested in their parts. In 1979, I snuck into the theater, when I was 9 years old, just to watch the original and I've been addicted ever since. So far, each installment makes my hands sweat. That's saying a lot. They are like these; small, jewel encrusted, shiny platinum gilded, highly ornate jewelry or puzzle-box pieces -- Brilliant. (They tried to do the same with Hellraiser, but it flopped.)

Brilliant. I kinda wanted there to be no alien on board and have a study on the paranoia and after-effects of surviving a containment breach. I think that would have been something we had not seen before. Having said that, the short was still fantastic and a great ending.

oh my god... everything I wanted. a perfect return to the design of cassette futurism on the original 1979 movie, which was also encapsulated PERFECTLY to Creative Assembly's 2014 Alien: Isolation. I hope that in the future of the ALIEN franchise we can have a return to this kind of low-fi 70's and 80's technological looking future. I LOVE IT!!!!

That gas giant looks very similar to the planet KG348 that Sevastopol Station orbited in Alien Isolation. Great short too. Captured all the best elements of Alien, very nicely in 8 minutes.

I have to say that I just started watching these ten minute movies and I am very impressed. I may be a minority on this but, these ten minute movies are miles better than the 2 hour Alien movies I've been seeing for the past 20 years. Why didn't she just kick / push the scientist's body completely into the cockpit / whatever and seal the door behind her. That way she could have been rescued and the xenomorph could have been trapped and contained. But I guess then the end wouldn't have been so dramatic.

Because curiosity often outstrips ethics as one is inherent to humanity and the other is not. Read into the early experiments done into animal physiology, including but not limited to opening the brains of live humans to experiment with basic neurology, directly studying the gastric systems of living dogs and cats (essentially keeping them alive while dissected), and so on, is it so hard to believe there would be individuals willing to allow infection and survival by a foreign organism just to see what happened?

All the short films were great but for once, I really want to see someone initiate their moves before the hell happens. such as, piercing through the chest before it comes out, be extremely cautious and not look into the eggs, and actually be extra prepared when somebody warns you, etc.
