It just hit me. You are the Devin Townsend of ASMR. (This is a good thing, lemme explain hehe) He produces his music using a technique called "wall of sound" which was developed and popularized by producer Phil Spector. For obvious reasons, I'm not about to call you the Phil Spector of ASMR.) Your medical videos, your soap dish video, these have a saturation of sound that is incredible, warm, and consuming, without being overwhelming, almost like, I wonder, being back in the womb. You're not layering sounds in post; you're giving us maybe only two or three constant or droning sounds at a time-dialogue, and then in this case, latex gloves and your now famous lab coat! The sound is thick and immersive. It is also a wonderful alternative to your quieter, but still wall of sound-ish, videos like "Lost in the Woods" and the lovely, spectral "Your Bedside Nurse". That's your thing! I love it! I couldn't wait to get to this video and I absolutely enjoyed it. Also, the carmine backdrop was spectacular, because as you stood up and moved around closely to the camera, my laptop screen started lighting up surrounding objects and the keyboard with either pale glowing blue-white or that dark reddish color. It was ambient and unexpected, like hearing an orchestra's reverberation that was never part of the rehearsal but is intrinsically a part of the performance. I hope you do more alien videos in the future. I searched through your medical playlist because I wanted to request maybe a video done in scrubs? Although honestly I don't know what scrubs are made of so I don't even know if they'd provide a good sound or not.
