I'm hopeful for Alien From LA, and your review is more in line with what I've been expecting than what you were saying previously. I hope I like it at least as much as you do. I'm pretty big on Albert Pyun's 80's and early 90's stuff.

I just got my order today so as I watch these flicks I'll catch up with your reviews. I also like this one. I saw this on Turner Classic Movies at 2am early in the year. I had trouble believing Kathy Ireland really sounds like that but if you watch clips with her on Letterman, it's pretty close.

As soon as you began your review and I saw your face I instantly knew ...'Oh man he liked it'. But you know what? Peoples tastes and opinions do change with age. I only watched it once in the 90's on VHS and turned it off after 15 minutes mostly because of the wierd voice, the lack of aliens, and beautiful Kathy keeps her cloths on. Plus I will admit I was a big time stoner back then which definitely effects ones perception of things. So okay Master C you've convinced me, I will to give Alien from LA another viewing. I'm going to stream it and If I enjoy it will pick it up for my collection sometime in the future. Thanks for the review.

I'm now looking forward to this one. After watching your Champagne and Bullets review I grabbed some painkillers (booze, edibles and some benzos) and prepared for a sad journey. I swear to you, it wasn't the drugs and booze... I really liked it. It was a slog at certain parts, but it is just SOOOO bad in all the right ways for me. I love seeing a coked out Wings Hauser and a probably drunk and coked out William Smith deliver his lines in that gravelly voice of his. John De Hart's film was absolutely ridiculous. I guess it wasn't your type of fromage. Oh well. I can get why someone would love Champagne and Bullets and hate it at the same time. All the best buddy!

I remember you talking about how you hated this movie on stream and the expectation as a kid that it would be a good movie, this was after I had already bought it during the sale and I was like uh-oh... But if never had that experience as a kid with the movie and watched it blind would your view of the movie be greater than it is now? I really disliked this when it came out when I was in high school, maybe because she didn't get naked! I revisited it for the first time a few years ago on COMET TV. They had a nice HD version, so I stayed with it and thought it was good. I still prefer Pyun's Captain America to the Hollywood ones.
