Yeah, the new intro is great! Love the graphics and music(Siskel & Ebert would approve of the latter. lol). Thanks for the review, as always!

Thanks for the review! And a big thank you for never spoiling big plot points. I always have faith I can watch your reviews before I watch the movie without having it ruined. As an aside, I must say I liked the last “hyped” intro more but as you always say it’s the content/disc that matters :)

People should bear movies like this, New Year's Evil, etc., in mind when they watch that old Siskel & Ebert "Women In Trouble" clip in which Siskel acts like he has come to some kind of brilliant deduction and conclusion as to why slasher movies exist, when all he actually did was project the mindset of the killers in these movies onto those who made them.

I did buy the July 2021 bundle and it arrived today! I have not watched anything yet, but this one did interest me. I like detective stuff, so I’ll probably be into it. I’m anxious to hear what you thought of the other two titles in the bundle! I usually wait for your reviews before buying but since I’m working a lot of overtime, I had some money to burn!

I really enjoyed killers delight. I love 70s exploitation stuff and 70s cinema in general. So it just had the vibe I liked. These are the kind of things I prefer from vinegar syndrome as apposed to the schlocky 80s stuff but I enjoy those too. It’s just more my jam to have the 70s drive in fair. Thanks for the review man!

Thank you Master Chaos. I consider whether I'll rewatch a movie too. I like Vinegar Syndrome but sometimes question their picks for restorations and releases.

Watched this video months ago and finally got around to the movie. Rewatched this video and I completely agree! TV type movie. Definitely meh... kind of mad I opened it when it's on Tubi. Now I can't sell it as NEW AND SEALED. 😕

This was strange film, like you I thought it was a standard TV movie. I had no idea it was a no budget first time independent film. I did appreciate the film a little more after watching the extras, but ‘Killer Delight’ wasted its opportunity. There were times it started to look like things were about the get gruesome but it sadly pulled it’s punches. The crime scene photos looked real & I was slightly shocked. If only the director had explored John Karlan’s bone breaking compulsion and lack of empathy further it would have had a far greater impact.

Yes! Pulled it’s punches. That’s the perfect phrase for this. Those photos DID look real, I agree. I just wish there were more creepy moments and less lounge act scenes.

@@MasterChaosTV yeah! Come to think of it all that was a strange unnecessary tangent. Was the main character’s mistress a psychologist by day & a lounge singer/serial killer bait by night!?! That was odd.

It’s was very weird and a waste of screen time that could have been used to develop his insanity!

It amazes me how fast you can say 'friendly neighborhood'. Why does VS deem movies like this are ripe for inclusion into the catalog? My guess is they have to come up with SOMETHING every month. There's probably a bunch of stuff WAY better than Killer's Delight but they can't get the rights. So, in order to fulfill their monthly quota of releases, let's face it, they have to release SOMETHING! THEY know it's not good...WE know it's not good, but then, lo and behold, you will get the next 50 VS subscribers SWEARING that this is THE BEST dang party that VS has released ALL YEAR ! Just like Surf II and Champagne. I'm glad you're not letting the thumbs down steer you off course. I DO like the young lady @ 2:46

@@MasterChaosTV I can't resist sharing this elated review: "Anyone else love this release? Killers Delight was my blu-ray for the day. This is the first one I chose to watch from the July package. Initially I was most excited for the Lamp but upon hearing some other critiques of this one my anticipation rose tremendously and I wasn't disappointed. This movie is an absolute superb addition to the Vinegar Syndrome catalog! It may not be the norm serial killer movie but it was a phenomenal piece of cinema. Yes, it's a serial killer movie but the killer's not the main interest for the viewer; it's the victims and the relatively down to earth detectives on the case that really draw you in. The acting is just top notch on all fronts; damn near every single one of the characters has depth and it just makes them feel more relatable to me. Now, some of you may be disappointed as it doesn't have all the brutal murders or gore (although one scene might be pretty disturbing to sit through) of a stereotypical serial killer film so if that's what you're after than this one may not be what you're looking for. In fact most of the kills happen off camera and we're left with the lifeless naked body from the aftermath but that really seemed to work for the overall flow of the film. Honestly, the current fascination with serial killers in the mainstream should really give this one a second life given it was unknowingly written based on Ted Bundy. It's one of those titles where you're downright "delighted" that there are so many special features because you just become so entangled in the story and it's characters that you want to know more. Definitely gotta give this one at least a 4.5 on the Vinegar Syndrome scale." 'absolute superb addition.....phenomenal piece of cinema....acting is top notch....' etc. etc.

Great review. This was the first one I watched from the latest package too. It definitely felt like if they had taken out the small amount of nudity that was in it, it would have been a tv movie. I liked it and thought it would pair well with Candy Snatchers.

The nudity and the finger thing keep up a little more intense than a TV movie.
