This helps to replace items fast in rushed situations while also freeing up space for collecting more materials. However, caution should be taken with rare/important materials, because once they are designated to craft a particular item, they cannot be changed to craft a different item instead. Example, 1 bonding agent already assigned to craft a flashbang cannot be reassigned to craft a med kit instead

I just have to comment on this. I came across this within the last week approximately and it was from episode six and then I saw seven and the beginning of eight and then realised that it was a full playthrough of "Alien Isolation." So I decided to watch it in order. I'll always remmeber the one by Markiplier which was so long. It was extremely long and I saw that within the last two years but this one is really funny with all the perfectly timed subtitles and all the funny music at perfectly timed scenes but anyway, the real reason for this comment in the first place would be the cutscene from when Agent Ripley quickly pressed the button to close the door to the airlock and that entire scene where she is ejected or jettisoned into outer space but just right outside the ship. It was really realistic and it was terrifying when she slipped at one point and was nearly pulled into the other planet's orbit. I think it was Jupiter. That was the scariest for me aside from narrowly escaping the Alien outside the airlock and trapping it outside Sevastopol in the jettisoned Project KG348 Labs. The game does this scene so well as the person playing Amanda can briefly glimpse the Sun while floating in outer space and seeing Ripley attempting to reach a hatch door leading to another part of the ship. What I realised was that in that situation, you know what could happen and what you have to do to survive. I can't even describe that scene with words as it is so beautifully well done and as not the same time, nerve wrecking or traumatising as you realise that Amanda could slip at any moment and be pulled into the huge planet's powerful orbit and then you realise how dangerous the situation is as the planet would kill you instantly if pulled into its atmosphere as you can't land on it is surface. Amanda had to really hang on to the ship to avoid either being sucked into space or being pulled violently into the planet's orbit. She wouldn't be able to land as she doesn't have any sort of spacecraft. Think of it like if you're falling to Earth in a spacesuit without a rocket and land from space to Earth's ground. I cane even begin to explain how scary that immediate situation is as you realise that you have to hang on and use every atom of strength to resist the planet's pulling effect due to its massive orbit. Falling out of the sky.............. It's all from 9:53- 11:07s. That was intense and yes, please add to this comment by describing the beautiful scene when Amanda was pulled into space from the airlock.............................................. Also, it's a good o porting time to mention how this game, like so many other games such as the first-person psychological horror survival action games, is an adventure of a lifetime. It's of course right up there with the big names like "The Last of Us," "Until Dawn," "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," "Dead Space," "Dying Light," "Dead Island," "Half-Life," "The Evil Within," "Uncharted," etc.................................................................................

thinking that this part of the ship gets ejected from mother ship, so i'm wondering why didn't the game developers, stress you more by giving you a time limit of lets say, 5 minutes top, to get away from there. This would add alot more pressure, first you need to hide from the alien threath and aswell you need to get to mother ship before, you're ejected to far away.

Pro tip to save shotgun shells. If you have enough space to work with when an Android comes after you, take one head shot with the revolver first, then switch to the shotgun and give another head shot. It will take out the Android. You need the space so that you can put distance between you and the Android to switch guns as the revolver doesn't slow the Android down enough.
