Too right - 3.5 years later. And Sigourney's contribution was terrific - not just the DLC, but two key moments in the main campaign too [the awesome intro being one of them]. History will be kind to this game ... it is indeed a masterpiece.

Sigourney and Tom sound pretty much the same as 35 years ago! In others' voices you can clearly hear their ageing but I will always prefer orginal actors, no matter how old they are, over imitators/voice talents. It always gives that needed special magic touch. I am really looking forward to this game!

Still playing this game, still watching speedruns and live-streams of other people playing this game. I wish Creative Assembly would do a game in this style based at the Hadley's Hope colony, starting from Carter Burke sending Newt's family out to the find the eggs to the ultimate downfall of the colony. It's a shame Ian Holm didn't do the recorded sections for Ash, the stand-in did a reasonable job, but this was a fantastic cast it would have been great to get back together again. Been playing this game for 5 years now and it's still my all time favorite survival horror games. Just played it today and hear one of the npcs remark "the station feels like a graveyard" and yes it does! The ambiance is second to none and that phrase perfectly describes the atmosphere of alien isolation. It's alien recreated with tender loving care to everything that made the first movie great.

They did freaking amazing on the game. When I bought it and first started it up, I was astonished! The details of everything IS SO INTENSE! Every little tiny detail honestly just blew me away! Also I cannot wait for the new alien movie coming out!

Agreed. The attention to detail is unlike any game I've ever played. I was looking around in the kitchen area of the Torrens in the beginning of the game and one of the electrical panels has a certification sticker with the technicians signature and everything. It blew me away. Something that simple goes a long way when it comes to immersion. The entire atmosphere in Isolation was excellent.

I finally just finished it..phew!!!. Had to stop for about 6 -12 months.I stopped at Mission 10 back then. Got too scary for me. Trying to get everything. One part, trying to hack the pc or around there. Died 5 times. Hid so many times in the locker. I couldn't take it anymore. This time, I decided to use trainers and turn on 'undetected' mode. After that mission, I only turned it on during missions with Aliens around. I can't take dying anymore :). Great game still. Much like the first movie. Quite intense. TIme to go back to ESO.

Completed it 2 days ago after a 10 month break cuz i got stuck on this part with no ammo. Great game just pissed their not making a sequel after leaving the ending wide open. They released five dlc with the knowledge their not making a sequel which annoyed me since not one gives a shit about these half an hour dlcs. Would rather have had 1 dlc that concluded the story.

I didn't play the DLC's. I was like "that's it, no more. Games done. No more scary shit for me" :P haha. But yea I did enjoy it as well. Near the end where you finally upgrade the welding tool and have to go back to all other places to get last items, freaked me out a bit because I wanted to move on, not go back.and makes the fear build up. Well..lets see what the future holds :)

Is out there any video or interview made to Sir Ridley Scott himself asking him about what is his opinion about Isolation? Or is he too jealous to allow himself to speak about a "Simple game for younglings?" Because if he never gave his opinion on this gem I can only imagine him thinking something similar... Personally I appreciate what he helped to create... but in last times I doubt he really understood what he made or what from what he made made people like this universe that much. Assembly Creation understood perfectly and just for that Ridley should give an opinion I think if is not that bad for him to speak about a simple game... what is a damn stupid thinking if you ask me because while game intrustry is just about profit and entreteiment... as the movie world... sometimes there are gems in games like in the movie world that should be treated with respect. While format can change sometimes a very nice story can be tell through movies or games and I think isolation is one of those rare cases with the exception that at the end is based on Ridley's creation. And having him still alive it could be nice to know his opinion in this contraption and if he really agree with his canon label. I could look with this or that face to the game if I know he don't aprove it or so. Personally I wish he was able to apreciate this game as Segourney was able to do so even if for a short period of time of her life.

Sega didn't make Colonial Marines, they published it. Alien Isolation isn't made by Gearbox anyway so you couldn't expect a bad game, and now that it's out it pretty much proves what i'm saying.
